Completed earlier this year by the Italian shipyard CRN, the 55 metre Atlante was introduced to the industry at the 2015 edition of the Monaco Yacht Show. She features a distinctly military style exterior with a strong, masculine feel created by Studio Nuvolari Lenard, whilst her sophisticated interior comes from the drawing board of Gilles &amp; Boissier Interior Design. The following first photographs of the yacht were released this week, revealing her stunning interior and exterior in all their glory.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/156678/image/large-7f44c0b2e76dc3c5f3dcea9d8af769b4.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/156678">Atlante’s owner was reportedly very involved with the whole design and construction process, with a clear vision of exactly what he wanted the unique superyacht to both look and feel like. Just one of his specific requested features is found in the innovative handrails in polished steel which, with a trapezoidal profile, is reminiscent of a diamond, and reflects natural light in a similar way.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/156679/image/large-e0efbdf24ec825f0a4e6c9f35f5c2b12.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/156679">Wide open spaces was also something the owner desired on board, a request that has been achieved through hiding the mooring and safety equipment away in functional compartments that are seamlessly integrated into the design of the vessel. Developing a high level of privacy on board was also an important aspect of the design.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/156680/image/large-416b6ff3cba625ae55d5f1e9cb02f58d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/156680">Throughout her interior, Gilles &amp; Boissier has utilised a rich, masculine colour scheme of darker tones which match with the shades on her hull and superstructure. Different tones of Carrara and Verona marble combine with smoked oak mixed with brushed fir, black and larch, which exude a sense of luxurious elegance with a formal undertone.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/156681/image/large-b1569a4c21703a7a082ff0b0bbd7e080.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/156681">She accommodates a total of 12 guests on board over a five stateroom layout, consisting of the large full beam owner’s suite found on the main deck as well as four VIP cabins located on the lower deck. A crew of 13 are also accommodated for on board. The owner’s suite is a sophisticated retreat, with the darkness of the wood being balanced well with the lighter shades of the plush bedding and upholstery, creating a relaxing yet chic atmosphere. All of the VIP cabins feature en suite facilities as well as custom made sofas and tables and various styles of lamps created by the French brand Pouenat, creating a relaxing, comfortable space for guests to enjoy the ultimate privacy on board.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/156684/image/large-3b91448c9b93e9fe04259396f114cf05.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/156684"><img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/156685/image/large-99966ed21dff253542aa4a56fa51bed4.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/156685">Elsewhere on board, the main salon offers a space for socialisation, relaxation and entertainment, all dependent on the desire of the moment. This area is surrounded by large vertical windows, letting in natural light and providing beautiful views. The floor is dark oak parquet, with marble edging. A rug made of natural “abaca” fibre covers the entire surface area of the living space, while the ceiling is in leather; a clear and consistent continuation of the rich, masculine theme of her interior design.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/156686/image/large-9b1f2b0d3e27e3d6aecbfb897017fb43.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/156686"><img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/156687/image/large-da9154c727fd51998f6f2b418934f244.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/156687">Plenty of comfortable seating areas are found in the main salon, with four plush sofas being complemented by two large, rectangular pouffes and symmetrical low, white coffee tables. The only internal dining area is situated just behind the seating area, composed of two up-and-down tables positioned on an inset Tai Ping rug. The beauty of the dining area is its versatility, with the ability to either enjoy a formal dining experience with a large table dominating the space or, alternatively, to lower the table and utilise it as a coffee table, transforming this area into an extension of the main salon.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/156688/image/large-a72b61e1cb6d7471c7096357d532b56f.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/156688"><img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/156689/image/large-6514d787ec022c5da80e9c127c990fff.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/156689">Moving on to her upper deck, it is described by CRN as ‘experiential’. She features an expansive, open space, as well as a unique al fresco dining area. Shaded from the elements, the dining area is sunken into the deck, creating a cosy and visually stunning setting to enjoy the very best of al fresco dining. Moving inside, the upper saloon features further custom made furnishings and three more sofas. A low, solid wood table is positioned in the centre of the room. Surrounded by large floor to ceiling windows, this area features an abundance of natural light whilst still maintaining the warm and welcoming dark tones of the interior colour scheme, and features a larch wood ceiling. On each side of the table there are the bimini top poles, in gloss black-finish carbon fibre with integrated lights, which support the sun canopy; all of which is fully removable. Another significant innovation is the hatch flush with the deck which leads to the bow mooring room, which is completely hidden. The ample bow provides space for a touch-and-go helipad.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/156695/image/large-29398353a5320316619a74f756dbd702.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/156695"><img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/156696/image/large-a87f2075773db3af9c881abf5e033813.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/156696">The sundeck can be easily accessed from the aft area of the upper deck, and features a spectacular spa pool at the bow, providing unparalleled views facing out to sea for guests to enjoy. To the aft part of the sundeck is another large, shaded seating area, with cream cushioned sofas and two large coffee tables centrally placed. The United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida has dismissed the entire complaint brought by Export Yacht Sales (Brill Maritime), which alleged that Boats Group illegally monopolised the US online boat-listing market through YachtWorld, Boat Trader and boats.com.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/355047/image/large-0bd8f332392990f5a08cac6ea37b81d1.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/355047">The lawsuit was filed on 14 August 2025, with Brill Maritime alleging that Boats Group controlled approximately 75 percent of the market for listing and marketing recreational boats and used subscription agreements that either bar or discourage brokers and dealers from listing vessels on rival platforms.Read more: <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Article/64073" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="US boat dealers bring antitrust class action against Boats Group (2025-08-21 13:00:00 +0200)">US boat dealers bring antitrust class action against Boats Group</a><img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/355053/image/large-d4b378b0bbe9bf56a1926a2d570b4fd5.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/355053">According to Brill Maritime, competing platforms had been unable to achieve the scale or inventory to grow their services effectively, leaving brokers and dealers with limited options.The court found that Brill Maritime had plausibly alleged that the relevant market could be defined as an online boat listing and marketing service in the United States and that Boat Group may possess monopoly power in that market.&nbsp;Brill Maritime also alleged that Boat’s Group claimed 75 percent of the global share, reasonably supporting an inference that it has a dominant position in the US market. As a result of this, the judge did not dismiss the case because Boats Group lacks market power.However, the judge said that Brill Maritime had failed to show that Boats Group engaged in illegal anticompetitive conduct and under US antitrust law, being a monopoly is not illegal by itself.The court repeatedly emphasised that monopoly power is legal, but using that power through anticompetitive behaviour to exclude rivals is illegal.&nbsp;The judge found that Brill Maritime’s three main allegations were insufficient including that Boats Group became dominant by acquiring competitors such as YachtWorld.com, boats.com and YachtCloser.com.The judge said that acquiring competitors is not necessarily illegal and that Brill Maritime had not explained how these acquisitions had harmed competition. The complaint had described the acquisitions as “strategic” suggesting it was more of a successful business move than illegal conduct. The judge explained that Brill Maritime had shown that Boats Group bought competitors, but not that these acquisitions were unlawful. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/355039/image/large-513a0ee840e10e5371f647093bba58d9.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/355039">Brill Maritime also claimed that Boats Group's subscription agreements stoped brokers from listing boats elsewhere. The judge examined the contract language and concluded that the provision merely prevented brokers from implying that a YachtWorld or Boats Group listing originated somewhere else. He therefore concluded that you can advertise on YachtWorld and on other sites and the contract simply prevented you from pretending a Boats Group listing came from another platform, meaning the clause is not an exclusive dealing arrangement.Finally, Brill Maritime argued that Boats Group had dramatically increased its prices. The judge responded that high prices alone are not an antitrust violation. The court cited multiple precedents saying a legal monopolist is generally allowed to charge whatever prices it wants. To prove monopolisation, Brill Maritime needed to show that the higher prices resulted from illegal exclusionary conduct.In conclusion, the judge accepted that Boats Group may hold monopoly power in the US online boat-listing market, but ruled that the plaintiffs failed to show that Boats Group acquired or maintained that position through illegal anticompetitive conduct.United States District Judge, Roy K. Altman dismissed the complaint without prejudice, meaning the plaintiff is able to resubmit an amended complaint, with a deadline of 30 June 2026.&nbsp;The lawsuit also contained claims under Florida law, with the federal court declining to hear the state claims as the federal antitrust claims were dismissed.
