Superyacht of the Week Design Special: The first ISA 630

SuperYacht of the Week

With her Moon stone hull and Stark white superstructure, ISA’s magnificent new 63 metre motor yacht, is now fully visible outside the shed where she was built. She is the largest superyacht ever built by ISA and is the first of three superyachts over 50 metres due to be launched and delivered by the shipyard this year.

The displacement motor yacht boasts sleek and aggressive lines with an impressively long sloping stern, designed by Andrea Vallicelli in close collaboration with ISA’s architects.

The Key West-styled interior makes clever use of bamboo and natural materials and was designed by Patrick Knowles.

This vessel’s interior reflects the ultimate in contemporary relaxation with tropical influences. The owners' wish to feel as if they are on holiday each and every time they cruise on this magnificent vessel is accomplished by the use of natural material one would associate with the tropics, such as coconut shell and palm wood accent panels strategically placed throughout the vessel, in addition to bamboo bordered floors, textured woven overhead materials and hand painted murals depicting in great detail tropical rainforests and exotic flora.

Although her interior would be considered tropical by definition, her joinery design is sleek and clean and her furnishings contemporary.

The project was commissioned in September 2007 and the construction has taken two and a half years to complete, employing 310 direct and indirect staff members.

Delivery is planned, ahead of schedule, before the summer season in the Mediterranean.
