In June 2008, the Italian-based BenettiSailDivision launched their largest yacht to date. With all the classic lines of a 1920’s luxury motor yacht and the modern conveniences of a 21st century superyacht, BenettiSailDivision created the first of her kind, the 110-foot D Oldtimer Series , Evergreen.
Evergreen was designed to be enjoyed as yachts of her style were in the 1920’s, when times seemed simpler, where what mattered was the beauty of the water, the breeze, passing clouds, and the midnight sky.
BenettiSailDivision, since becoming an independent enterprise in 1981 (formerly a subsidiary of the Fratelli Benetti Shipyards), has devoted itself to building the “one-off”, or unique, superyacht. The projects they undertake are specialized to a select niche of owners and enthusiasts who know exactly what they want. Today, with years of tradition and pride, combined with timeless elegance and modern technology, BenettiSailDivision presents the 110-foot D Oldtimer Series. At BenettiSailDivision, their philosophy is to build legendary superyachts that stand the test of time, with this newest series they’ve proven to the industry how well they’ve mastered this concept.
With a steel hull, aluminum superstructure, 25-foot beam, and built to RINA 100 A1.1 Y standards, Evergreen is a long range superyacht, propelled by two Caterpillar C18 diesel engines (875 Hp each @ 2200 rpm). In this configuration, she has a cruising speed of 12.5 knots and a 3,000 nautical mile range. She has been equipped with zero speed stabilizers, affording her guests a comfortable cruise in most sea conditions.
On the Evergreen’s upper deck consists of the bridge, the captain’s cabin, indoor/outdoor sky lounge, and a fly bridge dedicated to sun bathing. The living spaces on the upper deck can be divided into two general areas, the bow and the stern. The bow features a Jacuzzi and a lounge area, ideal for playing cards or a late-night movie under the stars.
The stern featuring the indoor/ outdoor sky lounge makes ideal place for sunset entertaining. fly bridge, in addition to a dedicated sunbathing area, there is a small galley, complete with fridge, grill, and small dining area for 6 to 8 guests. The decks of this superyacht are made of teak and her on-deck furnishings, the tables, chairs, chaises lounges, and Jacuzzi, are also framed in teak. The furniture has fabrics and cushions that are natural, simple and bright, with more accent pieces to draw the eyes attention.
The designers at BenettiSailDivision have introduced an innovative feature for Evergreen’s stern. They added a platform at the foot of the boarding ladder, creating ideal boarding dock and swim platform. Because of the zero speed stabilizers, the platform is also stable at anchor. When under way, the platform retracts securely into her hull.
Evergreen’s interiors carry on the essence of the 1920’s, simple and understated, with attractive accents to draw more interest.
The designers have chosen a classic white painted wood style throughout. In the main salon there is an elegant dining area, seating up to 10 guests comfortably. Adjoining the dining area is the main salon.
For accommodations, this superyacht features a full-beam, owner’s stateroom with an oversized bed, armchairs, and footrest located on the main deck. On the lower deck, there is a large VIP stateroom is aft and two guest cabins amidships. All staterooms and cabins have the expected modern amenities of a yacht of this size and class, including en-suite bathrooms.
