Superyacht of the Week: Golden Yacht's new O’Pari 3

SuperYacht of the Week

With the launch of the 71.85m O’Pari 3 in March this year, Greek shipyard Golden Yachts has proven that they mean business, having created a striking megayacht with powerful lines that demands attention in every port she visits. O’Pari 3 is the realisation of an owner’s dream of owning the perfect yacht, the dedication of a growing shipyard, and the teamwork of talented designers and architects.

As the largest yacht ever to be built by the shipyard, O’Pari 3 forced Golden Yachts to up their game in the major yacht building sector; a challenge which they approached head first, and together with the experience of the owner, came out on top of. “I have always built the boats for me,” he said. “I have experience as a Captain, an engineer and a ship owner over so many years, and spent so long at sea, that I know by heart what is needed for a yacht”

Building from the owner’s experience in the industry, Giorgio and Stefano Vafiadis set out to create the ultimate super charter yacht, aimed at meeting the demands of that of the owner, as well as the high-end charterers which O’Pari 3 is set to appeal to. Together they achieved in drawing a yacht with a large interior volume whilst retaining a sporty and agile exterior appearance, as viewed from every possible angle.

Large exterior decks offer guests uninterrupted views thanks to low bulwarks all round. The spacious sun deck is a functional space on board which makes the most of the precious sun rays that reaches this guest area first. Large sun bathing beds are abound, with a central Jacuzzi providing the perfect chill spot in between watersport sessions or simply relaxing in as the sun goes down. A bar area to port and a shaded dining area is one of the many exterior entertainment areas guests can choose from.

The largest exterior deck is found one level below on the bridge deck aft. This area not only provides space for large gatherings during extravagant parties on board, but once all the furniture is removed, serves as the helicopter landing pad capable of receiving an MD 500E or similar helicopter.

A space that is commonly left open with minimal usage in mind, the main deck aft on O’Pari 3 has been fitted with an oversized exterior lounge where guests can gather when in port or at anchor to enjoy panoramic views while sipping on the perfect cocktail prepared by the yacht’s professional crew.

Moving inside, the main lobby is served by a spiral staircase that connects all interior guest decks. Staying on main deck, a fully equipped gym is found here meaning guests can stay in shape even while on holiday.

Nine guest cabins are spread out across O’Pari 3, allowing for 19 guests and staff to cruise and live in ultimate luxury on board. Guest cabins are situated over three decks, from the bridge deck above down to main deck. On bridge deck, an aft facing master cabin looks out over expansive deck an onto the endless horizon, this certainly is one of the best spots to wake up in on board.

O’Pari 3 features not just one, but three owner’s suites. One more forward on the upper deck below, and another forward on the main deck with its own forward facing balcony. Both these loft style apartments house excellent storage facilities and it is clear that the owner wanted his guests to live with the same comforts as him looking at these generous cabins.

Further guest cabins are divided between double and twin cabins, each decorated in the same luxurious style as the master cabins, and each with its own en suite bathroom.

The upper salon is a luxurious yet comfortable interior retreat where guests can relax in an open and functional social space. The guest cabins forward are easily reachable through a central corridor and moving aft, guests can escape through large sliding doors to enjoy unmatched views from a comfortable seating area outside.

As expected of a yacht of this size, O’Pari 3 has spared no expense when it comes to creating the ultimate outdoor experience, and the beach club on board is no exception. At the aft part of the lower deck there is a large beach house with spa, steam room, massage room, bar and large settees. The vast swimming platform is over than four meters long, equipped with umbrellas and sunbeds. At the lower deck, a large garage can hold the Limo tender, two RIB tenders, a ski nautique boat, and a huge array of water toys.

O'Pari 3 is offered for charter centrally through Atalanta Golden Yachts at a weekly rate of EUR 495,000.
