At 40.8 metres, Okko is the latest fully custom made addition to the Mondo Marine fleet. Impressively, it is also their 61st vessel, once again establishing the yard as one of the industry's accomplished names for top quality superyachts. With interiors and exteriors designed by Giorgio Vafiadis, of Toy-A and Alexander Again fame, Okko is a confident three-deck superyacht that stands out because of her smoothly curved lines and friendly features.
Instantly apparent upon boarding, is that Okko is all about spacious comfort and a refined modern-classic style. The aft deck offers a large U-shaped fixed sofa as hospitable centre piece, combined with a big table and several modern curved armchairs to form an inviting setup for a wide variety of social gatherings. With a fully equipped bar nearby, it is easy to see this deck transformed from relaxing daytime lounging area to nighttime cocktail bar in the blink of an eye. The crème, brown and subtly golden colour scheme give this deck a warm and cozy look, making it feel like a true extension of the main saloon.
The spacious and elegant main saloon is a classically designed room which offers a harmonious and warm ambiance. The well balanced colour scheme of crème, brown and honey hues, combines very well with the luxuriously large furnishing and delicate lighting scheme. Ample effort was put into creating a comforting atmosphere with a distinctly luxurious feel, classically styled and of a pleasantly private nature. Okko's main saloon offers friendliness, warmth and a comfortable surrounding for guests to sit back, relax and enjoy each other's company. One of the main saloon's most eloquent design ingredients are the large surfaces of high-gloss, lacquered Frakè wood, which greatly adds to the room warm ambiance while adding a luxurious veneer. The main saloon consists of a generously set up, U-shaped seating arrangement of large sofas in a golden green velvet upholstery. The subtly classic floral pattern plays with the material's texture and balances the smooth, glossy frakè walls, cabinets and tabletops, along with the creamy, off-white carpeting.
Forward, the semi-separate main dining room continues this theme, with the main lighting fixture and wood-inlaid, large dining table adding touches reminiscent of an art-deco style. Large dining chairs in smooth velvet upholstery offer seating for up to eight guests, making this dining room perfectly suitable for elegant formal dining in a cosy and classic ambiance. Large windows and glass sliding doors aft assure wonderful views while a great feeling of privacy is guaranteed.
Through the grand central lobby, housing the staircase connecting all interior decks, one can find the master suite which occupies the main fore deck. With a private lobby, full beam stateroom, walk -in wardrobe and luxuriously fitted en suite bathroom, this is a master that perfectly combines spacious luxury with classic design. Again, frakè wood is a main design ingredient, adding both luxurious gloss and natural texture throughout. Several strategically placed mirrors emphasise the stateroom's size and large windows port and starboard side assure the flow of natural light. Like the main saloon, Okko's master suite is a classic, refined and private retreat. It is an elegantly designed, spacious area where a warm ambiance comforts guests, their own personal cocoon of cosiness and subtle glamour.
The luxuriously designed master bath features crisp white marble and back-lit onyx surfaces, resulting in a precious and luxurious feel. With large shower area and separate WC, the master bath perfectly supplements the whole quarters. Also, the big walk-in wardrobes and additional closets found in the owner's lobby, guarantee ample storage space.
Below decks, four additional guest suites can be found, with two doubles and two twins. Every stateroom is luxuriously designed to Okko-standards, and lush en suites and ample storage space allow every guest to have a perfect experience onboard, framed by stylish design, spacious and private cabins and luxurious amenities. All guest quarters each offer a spacious atmosphere and ample natural light, with the twin suites each offering an additional pullman for extra guest accommodation.
Upstairs, there is a large, light and classic upper saloon, boasting a more informal ambiance with large U-shaped seating as the main ingredient. The colour scheme is lighter and the atmosphere brighter, turning this upper saloon into the perfect surroundings for countless days and evenings of relaxing. The large flat screen television also makes this room extremely suitable for long movie nights.
Outside, a large circular al fresco dining table and full beam aft sofa offer great possibilities for entertaining and outdoor living.
Moving upstairs, the lush sun deck perfectly completes this way of life, with an additional round al fresco dining table as centrepiece. A full glass windscreen fore keeps this area comfortable, even when at sea.
The fore L-shaped lounge offers a perfect setting for enjoying the dramatic vista views, while the large aft Jacuzzi and surrounding sun pads allow guests to really lay back and relax. In all, Okko is a true charmer, with her gentle and classic style, large collection of amenities and friendly nature. She has a warm ambiance throughout, undoubtedly making every guest feel instantly welcome.
