Monte Carlo Yachts launched their largest yacht to date, the MCY 105 superyachtG, and the first in the 105 line of which four hulls have either been completed or currently under construction,in July last year during an exclusive launch ceremony held in Venice. Since then, the yard had the boat on display at the prestigious boat shows held in Cannes and Monaco where she showed off her generous living spaces and well equipped exterior areas.
Designed by Nuvolari & Lenard, the duo paid great attention to having her exterior deck spaces feel as open as possible and kept structural interference to a minimum. The flybridge is a good example of this design approach. This deck, although slim, has been stretched to well over half the length of the yacht. Separate dining and sunbathing areas are on offer, and a large part of the deck can be either covered or kept open with the use of an innovative retractable bimini system.
Another good use of space is the Portuguese deck forward of the raised pilot house. Large sun pads welcome you to relax and enjoy the uninterrupted views away from the often crowded guest areas on board.
Inside, high quality natural woods have been used such as teak flooring and grey oak for the custom furniture. The lowered bulwarks and use of oversized windows and large sliding doors on either side of the salon makes this area feel very roomy and spacious, despite the dark brown and grey colour theme.
Forward of the salon on main deck one finds the full beam master suite. The sleeping area is raised so as to have guests able to enjoy the view outside from within the bed. A large skylight floods the suite with natural light from above and truly creates a loft-style feeling. Back down the steps is a large walk in wardrobe as well as the stylish en suite.
Below on the lower deck are three guest cabins. The first hull in the series has a full beam VIP setup, one of two layouts that clients can choose from. The other layout arrangement will see this space divided in two, for a total of four guest cabins on this deck.
The yacht is constructed according to RINA’s classification standards. G is fitted with 2 x MTU 16V 2000 M93 engines that can take her up to 27 knots, and allows for a cruising speed around 23 knots.
