With exterior features showing off sportive finesse, designed by Andrea Vallicelli, and interiors boasting a design scheme of cozy contemporary luxury by Francesco Paszkowski Design, International Shipyards Ancona (ISA) recently launched the subtle yet sensual Papi Du Papi, delivering her to her South American owners. Now, she is ready to unveil some of her many secrets to the world, showing off a successful concept that combines extensive volumes, top performance and low consumption, all wrapped up in a luxurious, 50 metres displacement yacht.
Her exterior lines are sleek and her silhouette feminine, a seductive combination that results in a curvy, sportive look that is as elegant as it is playful. It's quite easy to imagine Papi Du Papi smoothly gliding through the waves of the ocean, sleek and dynamic like a dolphin, showing off a white steel hull and aluminium superstructure. Streamlined as she may be, there are ample impressively spacious deck spaces to be discovered, all richly appointed and delicately designed. A wide range of amenities and a great, consistent sense of style are key ingredients for every superyacht.
This time around, Papi Du Papi effortlessly proves to have plenty of both, with a distinct South-American mood as a basis for all spaces onboard. An instant family-friendliness can be felt, the result of a fruitful cooperation between Francesco Paszkowski Design and Margherita Casprini, the architect responsible for important design aspects such as interior decoration and material research.
Starting our tour on this modern and sportive ISA superyacht, there is a spacious aft deck where a lounge area fitted with delicately retro-styled furnishing offers guests privacy, class and, above all, close access to the large aft swimming platform. Like many of Papi Du Papi's areas, this space is all about cozy ambiance and gentle luxury, a pleasant and exciting combination.
Two stairways aft lead downwards to the large swimming platform and a remarkably intimate beach club and lounge area. With a large L-shaped sofa as main ingredient, this beach club continues Papi Du Papi's sense of retro elegance, with minimalistic shapes combined with a colour palette of soft blue and orange, framed by natural teak and white tones. The overall ambiance is instantly inviting, undoubtedly a welcoming space after a refreshing dive from the aft platform, privacy assured by large sliding glass doors.
Moving into the main saloon, we find a vibrant, soothing space that is voluminous and intimate, with a large modern lounge area aft and the formal dining fore. The lounge is set up around an invitingly big L-shaped Armani Casa sofa, covered with a large selection of cushions, all in off-white upholstery. Two elegant, modern armchairs and a minimalistic rectangular table complete this composition of lounge ambiance, with big surrounding windows offering splendid vistas and ample natural light.
A subtle lighting scheme, mainly found in small, hidden ceiling fixtures, adds a contemporary touch. Overall, the main saloon offers a delicately designed, modern atmosphere that remains pleasantly retro-inspired and, above all, calm.
Luxury is found in the details, in the refined materials and well-balanced colour palette, for example the rosewood flooring, as well as the spacious setup and cozy ambiance. Fore, the main dining extends this concept, with a large rectangular dining table seating a company of 12 in refined Matteo Grassi chairs. The floors are done in travertine, and the fore wall boasts a bas-relief style of rectangular Jerusalem stone elements. Lounge and dining are separated by a low cabinet, maitaining maximal visual lines, and thus assuring the overall spacious and friendly look and feel to stay intact.
The lush owner's quarters occupy a considerable part of the fore main deck. Passing through the vessel's main foyer, a large owner's office welcomes guests into these quarters with a spacious area. This office combines a private lounge with an office space utilising a wonderful view. Contemporary shapes and the familiar colour palette of off-white, beige and brown tints blend into a warm environment where lots of charm is found in a lack of abundance. Design such as this, typical for all areas onboard, offers guests the luxury off calm, with a soothing and subtle ambiance rather than overt abundance, while remaining undeniably luxurious, stylish and gently glamorous. In short, Papi Du Papi shows us true Italian design, where materials are always respected, and form and function are playfully intrechanged.
The owner's office seamlessly flows into the stateroom, separated by sliding linen panels. Again, there is a private ambiance with a warm, contemporary style. The cean and understated elegance works perfectly in surroundings such as these, allowing guests to be truly private and comfortable in their own environment. Balance and contrast can be enjoyed throughout, always a pleasant combination embodying which, in case of Papi Du Papi, embodies elements of South American and European culture.
Adjacent to the master stateroom, a spacious dressing room and walk-in wardrobe, plus wonderfully appointed his and hers en suites can be found. The en suites are grand and spacious, with large Jerusalem stone tub and water basins of bespoke design, delicate temples of minimalistic luxury.
Papi Du Papi's lower deck houses an additional five guest cabins, two doubles and three twins. All guest quarters consists of a luxurious, spacious and signature-style staterooms and large en suites with separate shower areas, with the fore twin suite able to transform into a VIP suite.
A company of 12 guests can be effortlessly accommodated within these luxurious suites. Special application of luxury materials, such as all guest stateroom ceilings which upholstered with a specific fabric combining wood and cotton, give these quarters a sense of vibrant, soothing style, minimalistic cool and eloquently warm.
Moving upstairs, through the main staircase with leather-clad walls, Papi Du Papi boasts an upper deck with several luxurious guest areas in her distinctly family-friendly character.
The upper saloon is cleverly designed as a wonderful cinema, where a U-shaped sofa and large flatscreen television assure ample long, cozy movie night. This space undeniably has the main function of a communal area.
Aft, an extensive exterior deck space offers a big al fresco dining table and additional lounge furnishing. Papi Du Papi offers space, luxury and elegantly shaped furnishings, the dramatic panoramic views do the rest.
Upstairs from here, there is a large sun deck that is simply outstanding. Large Jacuzzi with a collection of sun loungers aft, centrally located bar and al fresco dining areas, and a collection of sun pads with amazing vistas fore offer guests all they could ever hope fore.
Wether in sun or shade, during day or nighttime, this sun deck shows off Papi Du Papi's aim for being a family-friendly, elegant superyacht that offers luxury and ample amenities with a friendly character.
