Superyacht of the Week: The charter yacht Baron Trenck

There has long been a more adventurous aspect of yachting, a side which has been particularly developing and gaining considerable popularity during recent years. More and more, sailing a superyacht does not only involve visiting familiar destinations, but treading outside of the beaten track for a more expedition-style experience. Such travels obviously add specific requirements to the vessels involved, still combining luxury, style and comfort but with a more venturous take on superyachting. Baron Trenck, built at Eurocraft, isa superyacht that perfectly suits these requirements, adding a spicy edge to all her adventures.

Baron Trenck's exterior look is the perfect introduction to what she is all about, combining traditional lines of a modern superyacht with influences of a strong, confident ice-breaker. Looks aren't just merely for aesthetic purposes, since a higher bow enables her to properly handle bow spray and a wider beam assuring a smooth ride no matter how rough the seas get. All this combined with a draft of three metres allows Baron Trenck to easily manoeuvre everywhere, from the roughest seas to the smallest bays. Meanwhile, guests are supplied with all comfort and luxury, turning this superyacht into the perfect choice for a stylish charter with an attractive, adventurous twist.

As her exterior designs, all interiors aboard Baron Trenck seamlessly combine traditional elegance with intelligent functionality. Upon boarding, the aft deck is a spacious area without any fixed furniture. Instead, a variety of chairs, tables and loungers can be placed here to suit the guests' needs, allowing a flexible layout for a variety of occasions. The swimming and diving platform allows guests to take a refreshing swim, making this section an attractive area for all day round entertaining. From here, the main saloon can be found, which is a spacious and light room with a classic ambiance. Dark lacquered wood and crème coloured carpeting and upholstery are the main design ingredients, with curvy furnishing and a fresh, classic floral print adding to the saloon's pleasant personality.

The whole atmosphere is warm, calm and inviting, with the main saloon being divided into three sections. Aft, there is the bar and pantry area, which allows a perfect service for guests on either the aft deck or the central lounge section of the main saloon. The latter consists of a set of long opposite sofas placed around two coffee tables and a set of armchairs and Ottomans.

This arrangement allows for a wide variety of social occasions in a pleasantly formal ambiance and with wide windows all around, every part of the main saloon is supplied with ample amounts of natural light. Fore, the formal dining area consists of a spacious setup around a grand classic dining table seating 10.

Baron Trenck accommodates a company of up two 10 guests in 5 staterooms. The fore section of the main deck has been reserved for the spacious master quarters, consisting of a private office, large full beam stateroom with ample storage facilities and a luxurious en suite with large bath, separate shower area with monsoon shower and separate toilet facilities.

The overall design in these quarters are similar to the main saloon: warm, light and elegantly classic. While the overall ambiance is undeniable classic, there is no abundance in overly detailed knick-knacks nor a design which drowns in a bustle of bells and whistles. This goes for all areas onboard Baron Trenck, resulting in a clean elegance everywhere onboard.

Through the central staircase, separating the main saloon from the master suite and connecting all interior decks, the lower deck where 3 of the vessel's 4 remaining guest staterooms can be reached.

With one spacious VIP stateroom found in the central lower deck, one double cabin and one twin, there is a suitable accommodation available onboard for every guest. A second twin cabin can be found on the upper deck.

The full beam VIP stateroom is large and stylish, with Baron Trenck's signature warm classic ambiance and elegant feel, with ample wardrobe storage and an office area. The en suite bathroom has a large bath and separate toilet facilities. Like the VIP suite, all three twin cabins have an inviting intimate feel and are fitted with en suite bathrooms with large shower areas. Overall, Baron Trenck's guest accommodation is spacious, luxurious and designed with a delicate elegance. She is obviously all about understated luxury, allowing all guests a perfect charter experience without distracting from the adventurous experiences, of which there are undoubtedly many to be experienced.

One of many luxurious amenities can be found on the upper deck, opposite the twin guest cabin, in the form of a lush spa cabin. Here, a large sauna and steam room and large monsoon shower are available at guests' disposal. From here, the spacious and intimate sky lounge can be found, with seating area and bar for intimate social occasions, after dinner drinks or some relaxing after a nice sauna session. From here, the aft deck offers an al fresco dining area with dramatic vista views.

Upstairs is where one of Baron Trenck's most attractive features cab be found, in the form of a large, private and luxuriously designed sun deck with every amenity imaginable. A large aft sun deck with loungers and perfect views is available for those wanting to soak up some sun. The central section of the sun deck, optionally covered by large parasols for some cooling shade, offers a second al fresco dining arrangement with a large round table accommodating every guest. Fore, the large Jacuzzi and collection of big sun pads allow guests to cool down, enjoying each other’s company in complete privacy and framed by a magnificent view.
