Deservedly so, IAG Yachts was proud to announce the worldwide debut of their very first 100ft superyacht model, named Electra. Successfully aiming for perfection in design and craftsmanship, as well as excellence in materials and performance, this superyacht is a collaboration between the Hong-Kong and Ft. Lauderdale-based shipyard's technical office and renowned Italian design and engineering studios YD&AS and R.E.D.S. Additionally.
IAG's in-house interior department was involved in developing and fine-tuning Electra's classy interiors. The result? A contemporary exterior design, high end performance, and tastefully designed interiors: a perfect blend of high quality materials, optimal comfort and top notch performance.
Combining sportive looks with timeless comfort, Electra's exterior looks are sleek and streamlined, with a clean, white hull and playful lines. Upon boarding, the aft deck introduces guests to this superyacht's delightful spirit, emphasizing greatly on comfort, space and style. This area is centred around the al fresco dining table, with large wooden chairs, large aft sofa and framed by panorama views.
Inside, the spacious main saloon can be found, an area which is divided into two main areas. Aft, an elegant bar connects the outside aft deck with the central lounge area inside. The bar sets a delightfully fresh tone with regards to the main saloon atmosphere.
The lounging area consists of a set of large, inviting sofas that form the central setting of the saloon. Clean, modern lines combined with a moderate, natural and warm colour palette turn this space into an area that feels like a blend of a cozy classical salon and a luxurious, lounge-like loft apartment. The light wooden floors combine remarkably well with the dark walls and light grey upholstery. Red and black cushions on the sofas spice things up and give the overall ambiance a subtle edge.
Fore of the main saloon, an intimate and warm-toned dining room can be found. Dark, padded leather walls, panorama windows on either side of the central dining table, a chocolate brown and golden honey colour palette and a light piece reminiscent of a starry sky, this is a warm, classically inviting and dining room for ample elegant lunches and dinners.
The interior designs of Electra somehow have a distinct yet subtle look and feel of an art deco interior: moderately eclectic with an emphasis on elegance and long, vertical lines and a slightly reserved, monolithic character of shapes and materials. This is a style which has been applied throughout every interior area of the vessel.
Below decks, Electra offers accommodation for up to eight, with a total of 4 luxurious staterooms at guests' disposal. Each guest cabins, including the owner's quarters, can be found on the lower deck, leaving ample space on the main deck for the main saloon and dining room areas.
Guest staterooms are configured into one full beam owner's cabin, one lush VIP and two comfortable twins. Each guest cabin has a luxurious en-suite bathroom and ample space, privacy and luxury all set in Electra's signature style. The master stateroom has a lounge area, walk-in wardrobe and luxuriously spacious bathroom. A sublime and private retreat, supplying the owner with every luxury need for a highly comfortable stay on-board.
The VIP cabin boasts a design that is lighter and based on cream coloured leather walls panels, seeming like a delightful “white chocolate” variation the Electra's on-board sweetness with regards to interior design.
Outside, several areas for entertaining and relaxing can be found. For, a set of sizeable sunpads can be found, offering an ideal setting for private sunbathing and relaxing, enjoying the surrounding vista views. From the aft deck, the luxurious and spacious fly-bridge can be found. Here, Electra's array of amenities is completed with a fully equipped bar area, additional al fresco dining area and U-shaped sofa. The aft area serves as tender storage.
Electra is IAG Yacht's successful take on blending sportivity with quality and classic style, blending all ingredients into a whole of refined luxury that is intimate and warm, yet with a moderate quantity of stateliness. Her warm and pleasant ambiance combines remarkably well with her need for speed and performance, a combination well worth keeping an eye on in the near future.
