Designed specifically for today’s discerning tech-savvy owner in search of a touch of class and elegance, Bilgin Yachts’ 160 Classic line adheres to these exact requirements. The Turkish shipyard’s second rendition of this modern-day classic is named Clarity and made her world debut last year at the 2015 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
The term ‘looks can be deceiving’ is what comes to mind as one steps on board this 49 metre custom built superyacht. Although designed to take on the exterior appearance of a luxury cruiser of a bygone age, Clarity in fact is dripping with advanced on board technology to aid not only in safe passage but ultimate guest comfort.
The master cabin forward on main deck has been extended by 3.5 metres, to create a large and comfortable walk-in wardrobe where the bathroom once was. The bathroom has been moved to the lower deck below, where the crew quarters once were. This modification resulted inClaritybecoming a 5 cabin yacht as toTimeless’ (the first hull in the 160 Classic line) 6 cabin layout.
The crew quarters are now located aft on the lower deck, allowing Bilgin to create a large crew mess area with three en suite crew cabins.
The main salon has been customised according to the owner’s wishes with loose furniture, allowing easy access to the galley forward of the salon on main deck.
On the upper deck, a large bar has been installed, finished with a striking LED-lit top. Guests can easily move to the upper salon from here to enjoy the best of the on board audiovisual entertainment on offer.
Forward of the bridge on the upper deck, the size of the Portuguese deck outside has been doubled, presenting a grand sunbathing and entertaining area to guests.
Clarity offers an impressive trans oceanic range of 5,800 nm with a comfortable top speed of 13 knots. Her draught of 2.2 metres allows her access to shallower marinas and anchorages than other vessels in her size range.
