Superyacht of the Week: The Navetta 33 Crescendo Ziacanaia

Ferretti Custom Line recently launched the latest addition to their collection of fibreglass maxi-yachts, the Navetta 33 Crescendo. With this yacht, the Ferretti Group brand once again shows the world what Italian style is all about. At first sight, the semi-displacement, fibreglass yacht baptised Ziacanaia evokes the vision of quality, luxury and sophisticated elegance typically associated with this line of yachts. But once again, there is so much more than meets the eye.

Upon entering the vessel, one is immediately welcomed into an atmosphere of harmonious airiness, pleasurably soothing to all senses. A well balanced palette of tones, shapes and materials are combined into a highly refined design which offers modern comforts and classical finesse.

Having naturally evolved from the Ferretti Custom Line, seemingly the next logical step for their increasingly impressive collection of vessels, Ziacanaia is the result of a close working relationship between Rome-based Studio Zuccon International Project, the AYT – Advanced Yacht Technology, the Ferretti Group's in-house naval research centre, and the team of architects and designers at Ferretti Group's highly accomplished Centro Stile.

Ziacanaia can best be described as a refined combination of a classical exterior with a harmoniously contemporary interior. Being a part of the Ferretti Custom Line, it goes without saying that the interior design of the Navetta 33 Crescendo can be entirely customized according to the owners wishes. Non-structural details like furniture and fabrics can be adjusted according the the owners preferences. With the support of the aforementioned architecture & design team at Ferretti's Centro Stilo, a calculated blend of personal taste and pre-selected suggestions by highly acclaimed design companies, both of Italian and international fame, can be selected, resulting in a highly personalised and refined interior design. A high class, tailor-made yacht like Ziacanaia is the end result, assuring the owner of a comfortable stay onboard, each and every time.

Ample amounts of natural light perfectly frame the vessels light interior, flowing inside through large windows, emphasising her spaciously set up layout. Entering the main saloon through the large main deck cockpit, one is welcomed by the gentle palette and calm interior. Outside, guests can enjoy a generously sized sofa, easily adjustable into a luscious sunbed, along with a big teak table, comfortably seating a company of eight for lounging, drinks or al-fresco dining. Inside, the day area has been divided into semi-separate living and dining sections. A large conversation area has been fitted with comfortable divans, seating eight, and a coffee table.

A remarkable feature, yet familiar to the Ferretti Custom Line, is the extra outside terrace on starboard side of the main saloon, which can be achieved by lowering the foldable saxboard and opening the generously sized sliding glazed doors, offering surroundings which are perfectly private yet remarkably open.

Continuing through the main deck towards the bow side, the main staircase connecting with the upper and lower decks can be found starboard side. Port side provides access to an equally light and modern galley with dinette, where the crew area entrance can also be found, keeping crew and guest areas completely separate. In her bow, the completely private owners quarters can be found. The master cabin offers the familiar light and airy elegance implemented throughout the vessels interior design, assuring every comfort with the en suite bathroom, including his and hers sinks, fullsize Jacuzzi and separate shower area, and generously sized walk in closet. Adding to the master cabins look and feel of airy lightness, are the floating bed and nightstands, complimenting the design with Ziacanaia's signature serenity. Here, functionality and elegant designed are perfectly combined.

Below deck, four full sized VIP cabins can be found, all with double beds which are easily configured into two singles. Like the owners cabin, all guest cabins of course enjoy generous sea views and are suited with private heads with separate shower and a walk-in closet.

In this segment, Ziacanaia stands out for her full three deck configuration, each deck being integrated into the lines of the vessels exterior design. Compared to the previous model, a large sun deck has been added and the superstructure has been completely redesigned resulting in various added possibilities at guests' disposal. Accessible either from the main inside staircase or directly from the aft main deck, the upper deck is split into the helm station, a living/dining area and outside space. The living area provides remarkable views due to extensive application of full-sized, round windows, which also house a clever construction of sliding doors. This results in generous amounts of daylight, especially when combined with the L-shaped divan and the eight-seat round table available inside. This area stands out for its versatility, easily useable for a range of activities, from business meetings to cocktail parties. By opening the large round sliding doors, one can easily bring the outside in, or the inside out. Ultimately private al fresco dining is merely one of many possibilities. The upper deck outside area houses a conversation area with divans and optionally with freestanding furnishing. Astern there is a space for the tender or jet skis, complete with davit. The portuguese deck enables those aboard to access the sun pad located in the deckhouse, whilst another sundeck is positioned at bow on the main deck.

From the upper deck, the sundeck can be reached, offering guests the possibility to enjoy the large sunbeds, circular Jacuzzi, bar and grill unit. A versatile aft area can be set up to house various water toys.
