Superyacht of the week: The new Arcadia 115 M' Ocean

After a successfully innovative and ecologically friendly approach with their Arcadia 85', which was launched in 2010 and executed as a beautifully crafted yacht with understated styling, Italian-based Arcadia Yachts are kicking it up a few notches with their latest project. With the launch of the brand new 35 metres Arcadia 115', baptised M' Ocean, Arcadia Yachts have revisioned their own standards on style, design and quality, resulting in a vessel that feels highly conceptual but doesn't lose track of comfort and usability. All this results in a superyacht that distinguishes herself from the masses from the first time you set eyes on her.

M' Ocean's exterior looks are fresh and reflect a fun and playful personality, with the hull boasting lines that are both aerodynamic and steadfast in confidence. This three-deck superyacht promises to be inventive and experimental, without losing sight of guest comfort and, as one would expect from an Italian design, great style.

Her exteriors are not about showing off a façade of sharp lines and speed, but that doesn't mean she isn't sportive. M' Ocean is about the concept of being brave enough to let form flow from function in an elegant and unobtrusive manner.

Upon boarding there is an instant and pleasant sense of contemporary coziness, with the spacious main aft deck offering a lounging area that's all about Italian finesse and comfort. A large, cream coloured U-shaped sofa and several hockers are all you need to enjoy the surrounding vista views in style. Already it's obvious that her designers were working from balance and one can not help feeling that M'Ocean is more about blending in than she is about standing out, which accentuates her elegance even more.

The main saloon continues the balanced and light design, adding more personality with colours and materials that have been selected to compliment without voicing out each other. The design feels like a fresh white canvas spiced up with clean, black lines, light teak and the occasional dash of colour. Pleasantly contemporary and with enough detail to keep things interesting, but without ever losing sight of what matters most in the end: guest comfort. Large windows on either side are all that is needed to turn this space into a refined and comfortably contemporary area, bathing in natural light.

The saloon is divided into two areas, separated by two column-shaped cabinets that preserve the room's transparency and sense of space. Fore, the full beam dining area can be found in the form of an elegant, minimalistic dining table lined with modern white chairs on thin metal frames. The intimate setting is contrasted by the large windows on either side, turning the surrounding views into living works of art that compliment the space and it's function. Giving an exciting spin on al fresco dining, these hydraulic balconies can both be lowered to floor level, physically opening up the area and once again emphasising M'Ocean's philosophy of blending in with her surroundings.

The upper deck offers a intimate saloon/cinema area, with glass walls and ceilings ensuring ample natural light. The latter being covered in photovoltaic panels, M' Ocean is self sufficient with regards to generating environmentally friendly electrical power.

With the upper deck saloon being smaller in size, ample space has been reserved for the aft deck, offering an al fresco dining area, large bar and spacious lounging area, turning this deck into an open space of entertainment and relaxation, all in M' Ocean's signature contemporary style. Fore, the round Jacuzzi and a royal surface of sunbeds can be found, offering both unobscured views and sunlight alike.

The fore main deck has been reserved for the owner's quarters, consisting of an office, which also functions as a privacy buffer for the remaining areas of the suite, full beam master bedroom, large bathroom equipped with spacious Jacuzzi, separate toilets and ample storage space. All this, set in M'Ocean's light, modern and playful style. All remaining guest cabins can be found on the lower deck, which has a remarkably spacious feel by the use of long visual lines, ample amounts of natural light and a crisp clean palette of colours and materials.

Upon request, an Arcadia 115' can be built with three or four lower deck guest cabins, with options for either two twins and two doubles or two twins and one full beam VIP cabin, offering accommodation for a company of up to ten guests in total. Each cabin is equally bright, obviously with en suite bathrooms, clean lines and all the comforts of luxury materials, and the optional large VIP suite would offer exceptionally large bathroom and bedroom areas alike.

With photovoltaic panels and Double Glazing both self-production of electricity and high levels insulation are ensured. Aesthetically, she blends in with her surroundings, offering guests the experience of feeling in touch with nature without compromising on style and comfort.
