Launched in 2012 at the Abu Dhabi MAR Kiel shipyard (formerly HDW), she was originally one of six nearly identical vessels ordered at the same time. When the financial crisis hit, however, four of these orders were cancelled and Odessa II, the only other surviving order, was completed at Nobiskrug in 2013. The German design studio Focus Yacht Design penned her exterior lines. Constructed with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, Plan B can reach a top speed of 17 knots thanks to her two MTU 16V 4000 M60 diesel engines with 2,034 horsepower each.
