The award-winning 73.15 metre motor yacht Siren returned for her first 5 years’ class survey back to her builder in Rendsburg. Superyacht Siren was delivered back in April 2008. Her exterior and interior styling was developed by the Hamburg-based design studio Newcruise Yacht Project & Design whereas Nobiskrug was in charge for the naval architecture.
Siren is built fully applying with the rules of Germanischer Lloyd and MCA. Her full displacement hull allows a cruising speed of 15 knots at lowest consumption and a maximum speed of 17,5 knots.
Taking advantage of the yard’s position as a leading player in the mega yacht market and its mission to work with heart-felt dedication and exceptional expertise, it was an easy decision for the Owners to bring Siren back to Nobiskrug.
A further yacht of 74 metres length will accompany Siren in the covered dry-dock during the winter season. The Refit and Repair Department looks forward to welcoming the second mega yacht soon for conversion works. Both yachts will be docked in end of November 2012.
Due to these two yacht refits as well as the maintenance contract for the German frigate Lübeck, which will be carried out at the Abu Dhabi MAR Kiel facility, Nobiskrug’s Refit and Repair Department is happy to prove its capabilities.
The aim of Nobiskrug’s Head of Refit and Repair, Bernd Wittorf, to offer an “all-in-one solution” as well as a full service package to the customers has proved to be a success. The concept to offer exceptional possibilities for refits and conversions is paying off as clients are looking to combine the yard’s highest quality construction with innovative engineering.
