She was built in Antalya in 2016 as the Turkish yard’s largest project to date. Samurai features striking exterior lines by Omega Architects while Van Oossanen Naval Architects was responsible for her naval architecture. Onboard, a central staircase on the main deck leads to five of the six guest suites, ending up forward in the full-beam master suite. With a VIP suite located on the upper deck, the lower deck is entirely dedicated to crew and technical areas with a full-width beach club at the stern. Powered by twin MTU 16V 4000 M73L diesel engines of 3,328 horsepower each, and thanks to the implementation of the Dutch firm’s Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF), Samurai can reach a top speed of 21 knots.
