Vacancy: SuperYacht Times Editor-in-Chief

SuperYacht Times is looking for an Editor-in-Chief to join our editorial team in Amsterdam. Known for being first with the latest superyacht news, we reach over 500,000 readers per month (and this is growing!). Due to this, we are looking to expand our team to include an Editor-in-Chief to ensure that we keep up the pace and help us take SuperYacht Times to the next level.  Superyachts during the Monaco Yacht Show 2019Photo: Charl van Rooy / SuperYacht Times


  • Develop a unique content strategy that offers our readers engaging content that they want, and positions SuperYacht Times ahead of our competitors
  • Analyse and optimise the performance of content and bring new ideas to the table in regards to new approaches to increase audience engagement
  • Plan an editorial calendar and ensure online content is executed to the highest standard 
  • Support all elements of the bi-monthly newspaper, The SuperYacht Times
  • Establish and develop content partnerships in collaboration with the editorial team
  • Manage, mentor and be accountable for the editorial team
  • Writing articles for the SuperYacht Times website, and for The SuperYacht Times newspaper when required
  • Proofreading and editing of all variations of text put out from the company (press releases, custom proposals, newsletters etc.)

  • Native-level English, both written and spoken
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a Senior Editor role or similar
  • Permission to live and work in the Netherlands
  • Has a sense of urgency, can multi-task and remain organised
  • Experience in managing an editorial team
  • A can-do attitude and a knack for problem-solving
  • A valid passport and willingness to travel frequently
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • The ideal candidate will not have a 9-5 mentality and be happy to pull out all the stops to meet a deadline
