Since our launch over a decade ago, the SuperYacht Times media team has been on the forefront of delivering breaking industry news, and completely dedicated to developing the most exciting superyacht stories from all over the world. Travelling to shows and events is a large part of this process, as is chasing the stories wherever they may be. So, here is the first of our monthly SuperYacht Times’ recaps, to share with you, our readers, a behind-the-scenes look at our team here in Amsterdam.
Hull launch of Feadship’s Project 818
Our in-house photographer Tom van Oossanen travelled to NMC’s facility in Holland to capture the hull launch of Feadship’s latest 75-metre project currently in build. Known as Project 818 for now, her hull and superstructure were then moved to the Feadship yard in Kaag.
Onboard Seven Sins in St Lucia
Editors Gemma Fottles and Charl van Rooy travelled to the Caribbean as the New Year kicked off to spend a few days sampling the superyacht lifestyle onboard the 52-metre Sanlorenzo superyacht, Seven Sins, with YPI where she is available for charter. Company Director, Merijn de Waard, and Tom van Oossanen paid our friends at Diana Yacht Design a visit in Alkmaar, the Netherlands, to ring in the New Year with a Dutch borrel with fellow industry professionals. New digital intern joins the team
At SuperYacht Company we are very much focused on promoting the superyacht industry to a younger generation - not just future clients, but also future professionals. As we sadly bid farewell to our editorial intern, Florent Moranzoni who will now go on to study yacht design, we welcomed our new digital intern, Matteo Sabattini, who is heavily involved with keeping all of our platforms fresh and optimised. With Düsseldorf in such close proximity to our home city of Amsterdam, Merijn de Waard and Sales Manager Martijn Westerink wasted no time in heading back to Germany to celebrate a successful show and start to the New Year with Pantaenius.

Merijn and Martijn are back on the road today for the first day of Superyacht Investor London, where they will be meeting our London-based industry colleagues and enjoying a host of talks from prominent peers in the superyacht business.
