A new industry initiative has been launched by the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) that focuses on the impact the yachting industry has on the world’s forests. But the time has come to pay more attention to the timber that is used.”Timber is a staple resource for the industry, whether that’s teak decking, masts and booms, or interior outfitting – you’ll be hard-pressed to find a yacht that doesn’t make use of the material in some form. The facilities include 9 modern high-tech sheds, all fully heated, &nbsp;air-conditioned and comprehensively equipped. They feature state-of-the-art air-extraction, compressed-air and centralised technical-gas systems, heating and power-generation systems, and 2 overhead cranes for handling and installing materials on board. The sheds can accommodate up to 24 superyachts under construction at the same time. &nbsp; The CRN fleet currently boasts more than 400 vessels in the water, including military and commercial ships, fishing boats, ferries as well as luxury superyachts and yachts, built together with the historical &nbsp;Mario Morini shipyard, merged in 2002 by CRN, a shipyard with a strong competence in metal naval &nbsp;construction, with outstanding workers, craftsmen and skilled employees. &nbsp; Creativity, passion, culture, research and uniqueness are the steps that explore the process of creating a pure custom superyacht. AKYACHT is an ISO 9001 Lloyd's-certified, superyacht shipyard located in Turkey, with immense industry background and vision. The first breakthrough project for the shipyard was &nbsp;a spectacular 85m superyacht VICTORIOUS, the biggest superyacht ever built in Turkey. The shipyard`s facilities include one 1,800m2 build shed of 90m in length and a second 60m-long &nbsp;1,200m2 shed, both environmentally controlled with associated workshops en-suite, on a &nbsp;waterside site of around 15,000m2. In-house departments include joinery, painting, outfitting, &nbsp;piping, machinery, electrical systems and supporting teams such as project management, &nbsp;planning, engineering, interior design and quality assurance. The shipyard started mission is to become one of the major shipyards in the superyacht industry in the expedition and explorer yachts segment delivering exceptional quality.
