The 19th edition of Boat Asia, Asia’s largest boat show, returns to Marina at Keppel Bay from 12-15 May 2011. This year marks many firsts, not only will Boat Asia be expanded to The Promontory@Marina Bay, there will also be the first-ever city sailing match race, named Bay Challenge, which will be held from 14 – 15 May 2011 at Marina Bay.
With its position as the most established and well-attended boat shows in the region, it is no surprise that many prestigious brands will be using Boat Asia as a platform from which to debut their yachting masterpieces in Asia and Singapore. Amongst the many smaller boats to be showcased, there are several superyachts making their Asian debuts.
Horizon will be showcasing two superyachts. The E90, which features a fresh contemporary profile, one is also able to customise it by selecting from a variety of design options to transform the yacht into a spacious and comfortable family retreat or a luxurious cruising yacht. The second superyacht Horizon will have on display is the EP105 which offers three decks. This luxury superyacht is designed for a long-distance cruising in comfort.
Also making its Singapore debut is the Pershing 80, this superyacht combines innovative design with sport style performance. Her sleek style and advanced onboard technology continues the strategy of luxury which begun with the Pershing 72, the craft that won numerous awards. With harmonious contours that guarantee perfect streamlining and top performance, the Pershing 80 offers exceptional speed and control.
Aside from awe-inspiring new yachts, some manufacturers are also choosing Boat Asia as a platform to make their Asian debut to the region’s boating elite. Egypt’s largest privately owned and managed manufacturer of customisable fiber glass motor superyachts, Shama Yachts, will be introducing their brand to the Asian market, while Megayacht Catamaran, will be looking to make a splash with their technologically advanced and eco-luxurious mega-catamarans.
