Superyachts outside Gustavia, St Barths

One of the most popular superyacht hotspots during the winter cruising season is without a doubt the island of St Barths. Known as the St Tropez of the Caribbean, Saint Barthelemy attracts a crowd of high profile yachts each like few other islands in the area. New Year’s eve is a particularly busy time outside the main port of Gustavia with some of the largest yachts in the world dropping anchor here. The recently refitted 86-metre superyacht, Aquila can be made out on the far right in this image.

Silence’s exterior was penned by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6327" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Kurt Strand Super Yacht Designs (Company)">Kurt Strand Design</a>, while her interiors stemmed from the drawing boards of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/7451" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Acoya Design House (Company)">Acoya Design House</a>. Described as “Nordic refined simplicity,” the interiors of the 1,900 GT yacht blend green, sustainable materials with a subtle colour palette. Harmonisation with the surroundings is crucial to Silence’s design and the desire to create a balanced and soothing space informed many of the interior design decisions.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/295770/image/large-901e52770a60b1e27ecbd03c6e5e61ff.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/295770">The superyacht concept showcases a large and airy aft lounge situated on the main deck, which opens to the beach club’s pool and another seating area, connecting the interior with the exterior. The upper deck houses the exclusive owner’s suite, which extends to the aft outdoors, featuring a private Jacuzzi and sunloungers.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/295766/image/large-32bef05c3de1a682830afafe91230b32.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/295766">Relaxation is at the core of Silence’s serene aesthetic, she houses a wellness area, gym and spa. The helipad situated at her foredeck can be easily converted into a sun lounging area. The sundeck also offers the opportunity for guests to enjoy the Jacuzzi or an evening outdoor cinema.
