Yesterday I visited the Gulf Craft yard in the United Arab Emirates, where I learned more about some of the yard's current projects, such as the new Majesty 155, which has started construction. The luxury superyacht – the largest ever to be constructed in the company’s 31-year history – is expected to be completed in 2015.
The announcement signals the UAE-based builder’s comfortable positioning within an elite fraternity of global boat builders with the capability to create craft of this size and complexity.
At the yard I also toured one of the new 135 series under construction, hull number 3 Hull number 2 is currently on display at the Dubai Boat Show, which Superyachttimes.com's UAE special features editor Charl van Rooij visited at the show. Expect a report on that yacht, which was delivered only days ago, in the coming days as well. Work on hull number 4 has also started.
Amongst many other projects at the yard, are the 4th 105 model, and the 15th 88 model.
