Drawing to a close today at the RAI convention centre in Amsterdam is the annual METSTRADE show, attracting over 15,000 international visitors who are all interested in finding out what the latest innovations in the field of leisure yachting are. I headed to the event’s famous SuperYacht Pavilion to find just some of the most exciting innovations for superyachts on display here.
After a morning cruise from the SuperYacht Company office to the RAI with Dutch leisure boat builder, Lekker Boats, we arrived at METSTRADE ready for a day of finding the coolest tech and toys on offer to superyacht owners and captains. Oculus’ innovative Nautiq app caught our intention as did Fender Systems’ clever self-deploying fender solution.
After seeing Team Italia’s modern I-Bridge Air Wings helm station at the Monaco Yacht Show we just had to get a closer look here at METSTRADE. Another highlight was Videoworks’ smart TV display that proved useful for its various possible implementations other than your regular TV screen.
