Genova based shipyard, Tankoa Yachts, is proud to announce their latest design, the 50 metre motor yacht, S501. The company have confirmed that four clients have already shown interest in the new model, which will be available in two different hull designs. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/149811/image/large-71c8096b8a9af40f24658bea1d1993e9.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/149811">In her full displacement version, the S501 will boast a maximum speed of 16-18 knots, while in her semi-displacement variant, she will be capable of 27 knots. Both versions will be entirely built in aluminum light alloy 5083.Guests on board S501 are guaranteed the utmost comfort, with the vessel being designed with a modified plumb bow, a wide hard chine and high free board to minimise spray when at speed. Three huge sun pads and three external dining areas are part of the initial design package, and a swimming pool may also be included in the package. The vessel boasts an oversized teak-finished tender garage for a 6,50 meter RIB, that converts to a real beach-club.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/149812/image/large-f49b4b6e014fa41cc7c97b3967f52788.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/149812">Tankoa S501 is equipped with hydraulic lateral foldout terraces on the aft deck, floor to ceiling windows in the dining room, safety-glass balconies aft, sliding side windows in the dining room, foldout balconies in the master cabin, and a panoramic view of the sea from wherever owners or guests may be seated.The S501 has been created around fundamental layout criteria and technical parameters collected from yacht owners, captains, surveyors and engineers. Designer Francesco Paszkowski received the list of non-negotiable items that had to be part of the new project, which he drew in accordance to his individual style. The main parameters included simple administration and reduced management cost, reasonable consumption, modern amenities, a design within 499 GT, a hull design from cruise ships and extended outdoor spaces, among others. The concept was created by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Nobiskrug (Company)">Nobiskrug</a> in collaboration with Swiss design studio <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2169" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Messerschmitt Yachts GmbH (Company)">Messerschmitt Yachts</a>. (Company)">Philippe Briand</a> has unveiled the first renderings of his new 60-metre sailing yacht concept Kaze. Inspired by the Japanese word for wind, Kaze harnesses wind power for her propulsion to create a hybrid sailing yacht.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/261397/image/large-f1bd2456822632f67a925c01142b670f.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/261397">The ketch yacht, Kaze is able to accommodate different sailing programs with three different versions of rigs available, ranging from classic to the highest tech. Italy-based designer <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/118" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Studio Arch. Tommaso Spadolini (Company)">Tommaso Spadolini</a> has unveiled the first renderings for a new 48.5-metre superyacht concept. The motor yacht was designed with a specific owner in mind who was looking for a more spacious design from his current 35-metre yacht.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/260720/image/large-2e9f6b915b88c880e8684f344ab2c08d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/260720">The strictly displacement hull measures 48.5-metres in overall length, which becomes 46-metres at the waterline. The relationship with the water is therefore mainly experienced through the large aft swim platform and its comfortable and inviting access to the sea.”<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/260718/image/large-0ff1a58fb8b29d9b60a500d43c0bbc18.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/260718">The owner requested a larger yacht around 50-metres that would allow them to better enjoy their large family during the summer holidays and had some very specific requests for her design. “There had to be large windows, the owner's suite had to be located on the main deck towards the bow, with the four guest and four crew cabins on the lower deck, and the captain's quarters had to be on the upper deck,” explained designer <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/118" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Studio Arch. She also has another 7-metre saloon on her upper deck. “Obviously, at this stage we haven't considered any furniture arrangements,” continued <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/118" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Studio Arch. Robert Lama has joined the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/244" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="IYC (Company)">IYC</a> team as a Sales Consultant based out of the Fort Lauderdale office.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/49166/image/large-e22efe6e2a46f17cc0ded2f7ce0609ea.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/49166"> Lama began his career in the commercial insurance industry, purchasing a small firm and transforming it into Lama Insurance, which became one of New York’s largest brokerages. After selling the firm to First Niagara Financial Group, Rob was appointed as the company’s Senior Vice President, where he guided the Insurance Division with over $600,000,000 in annual sales. He also founded Lama Commercial Real Estate, where he negotiated site acquisitions for a number of large American retailers, including Walmart, CVS, and Rite Aid. During this time, Lama owned a yacht in Miami for his entire family to enjoy.&nbsp;After moving to Miami, Lama combined his love of yachting with his business acumen, establishing <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5135" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Miami International Yacht Sales LLC. (Company)">Miami International Yacht Sale</a>. Lama’s business and negotiation experience enabled him to find his niche in the sale of vessels over 30-metres. He now joins <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/244" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="IYC (Company)">IYC</a> in 2023 after many years of successfully running his own yacht brokerage firm. Lama takes pleasure in finding the perfect yacht for his clients, and supporting them throughout the process.&nbsp;
