The hull of the 73.6-metre Bilgin 243 superyacht has been launched at Bilgin Yachts in Turkey. The yacht, which is due to be delivered in 2024, features exterior design from Unique Yacht Design, who have also penned her naval architecture.
Bilgin 243 has been built in Yalova on speculation, at Bilgin Yachts' steel and aluminium construction facility. Following her launch she was transported to the shipyards West Istanbul Marina for outfitting. Featuring a similar layout to the 80-metre Bilgin Yacht Tatiana, which was launched in 2020, Bilgin 243 has a five deck arrangement across 1,607 GT, offering plentiful space for her 16 guests to enjoy. Her seven staterooms include a large and private owner's suite in the forward part of the main deck with deck and Jacuzzi. She also has two main deck VIPs, while all additional staterooms are situated on the lower deck. Emrecan Özgün, CEO and the Founder of Unique Yacht Design, describes the superyacht as a very special project to them. He says, “We designed Bilgin 74m focusing on the large, spacious structures that characterise a boat of this size, trying to develop them to perfection, rather than trying to fit ‘a little bit of everything’. The result was a great balance between interior and exterior living spaces, pleasing, large and sporty, but not tiring.”Other top features include her 50 square-metre beach club, bar and lounge areas, gym, sauna and large tender garage. In terms of performance, she will be powered by twin 1,920 kilowatt engines to a top speed of 17 knots, in addition she will have an impressive 5,000 nautical mile range at 12 knots.Bilgin’s CEO Ismail Şengün commented, "The technical launch and design of Bilgin 243 proved a complete success for the whole Bilgin team. We are very happy and proud of starting the year with a big splash.”
