However, the progressive involvement of the owner brought a refreshing renewal to the project. Now, the design looks elegant yet informal, simple yet refined. Still presided over by the original founder Matjaž Murko today, the company now represents several brands of the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4876" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ferretti Group (Company)">Ferretti Group</a> and operates across various Central and Eastern European countries, with a strong presence along the Adriatic coast.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/328602/image/large-f0b53309825f90cea989c7c504d55069.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/328602">What led to your entry into the yachting industry?I was born in Germany and moved to Slovenia in 1972 when I was ten years old. Shortly thereafter, I joined a well-known sailing club in Slovenia named Pirate. From a young age, I exhibited an entrepreneurial spirit; my first venture was founding a windsurfing school with a friend, catering to tourists on the beach. It's important to note the geographic significance of Slovenia, which is bordered by Italy to the west and Croatia to the south and east. Slovenia attracts many visitors from the Czech Republic and other Eastern European countries. Additionally, our linguistic similarities foster a welcoming environment for these tourists.This early experience further fueled my interest in the nautical industry, which prompted me to explore additional opportunities. My breakthrough came at the Genoa Boat Show in 1994, where I discovered the Pershing brand. Just a few months later, I signed a contract with the shipyard and acquired two yachts, a 60-footer and a 70-footer and began actively promoting Pershing in the Adriatic.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/328599/image/large-fe3e86a9dd94651ebd8b14f1582ea966.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/328599">Could you elaborate on your close ties with various Ferretti Group brands and how it came to be that you represented them?In 1998, following <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/584" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Pershing S.p.a. (Company)">Pershing</a>'s acquisition by the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4876" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ferretti Group (Company)">Ferretti Group</a>, Pershing recommended us as a dealer for <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4876" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ferretti Group (Company)">Ferretti Group</a> brands in Austria, Slovenia, and other parts of Europe. We promptly signed the contract and officially started our dealership with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4876" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ferretti Group (Company)">Ferretti</a> in 2000. As the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4876" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ferretti Group (Company)">Ferretti Group</a> expanded and integrated brands such as Riva, we also began representing them in our markets.Currently, we represent all <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4876" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ferretti Group (Company)">Ferretti Group</a> brands, except for CRN and Wally, across several regions. Our markets include Austria, Germany (specifically clients in the Adriatic region for <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/361" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ferretti Yachts (Company)">Ferretti Yachts</a>, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/584" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Pershing S.p.a. (Company)">Pershing</a>, and Itama), the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Albania. Over the past twenty years, these countries have seen economic development, though they still face certain challenges. Despite our wide geographic reach, we encounter specific local preferences. In Hungary for example, there is a strong preference for conducting business in Hungarian. As a result we maintain an office in Budapest to accommodate this need, despite its landlocked location. We also have an office in Prague, Czech Republic, and one in Belgrade, Serbia. When operations began, back in 1994, sourcing essential components such as generator impellers posed significant challenges. Damage to an impeller could disable the entire generator, disrupting critical onboard functions, including cooking, yet obtaining these components was complicated by supply distribution issues. Indeed, Slovenia and Croatia were not part of the European Union at that time, leading to intricate customs and logistics scenarios.To address these challenges, we significantly expanded our service network, which now covers all major marinas and key cruising locations along the Adriatic coast. Thanks to our local network and expertise, we are known for our rapid response times, a fact acknowledged by our clients and competitors alike.Our team comprises highly experienced professionals, some of whom have been with us for 15-20 years. With the increasing complexity of yachts due to advanced technology and design features, it is imperative to stay at the forefront of service excellence. Despite these successes, we recognise areas that require further improvement.Currently, like many in the industry, we face a shortage of skilled labour, particularly mechanics and electricians. The growth of our fleet has outpaced our staffing capabilities, highlighting the critical need to balance the number of yachts with employee recruitment to enhance our operations.Moreover, we have been improving our technological capabilities by investing in software programs that aim to more efficiently understand the yachts clients desire. This will better facilitate our sales strategies and improve our ability to track client inquiries and preferences. For instance, if a client expressed interest in a specific type of superyacht a year ago, these new systems will allow us to process that information more quickly and accurately. We have a dedicated team, much like a family, where each member, including my son, plays a crucial role. Together, we are committed to continuing our legacy for many more years to come. In July 2021, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/511" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Tecnomar (Company)">Tecnomar</a> announced the delivery of a new EVO 120 designed by Architect Gian Marco Campanino, Art Director at <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5565" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="The Italian Sea Group (Company)">The Italian Sea Group</a>, who penned both the interior and exterior design of the model. For a Shipyard such as <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5565" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="The Italian Sea Group (Company)">TISG</a>, dedicated to construction and refit of yachts up to 100-metres, the compact and sporty EVO 120 represents the perfect blend of style, functionality and design on medium-size yachts. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/200998/image/large-1aa9a95b560a676f010a8633eae3ad5f.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/200998">The eye-catching yacht features a streamlined avant-garde design, the original design of which was first released to the industry in 2018 with the launch of Chao Yong, now <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/6165" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="La Vie36.6m (120'1&quot;)Tecnomar2018">La Vie</a>. Since the first launch, the Shipyard has sold four units of the model, with the fifth currently in-build. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4509" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="SuperYacht Times (Company)">SYT</a> takes a closer look at the concept that the EVO 120 embodies: a sporty yet luxurious superyacht.&nbsp;The EVO 120 has an aluminium hull and superstructure which is moulded into amazing curved and organic forms, lending the yacht a somewhat sensual and otherworldly appearance. The new design features elongated lines that sweep from the gentle curved bow to the stern in one uninterrupted line. That sweeping, organic form is echoed in the base of the flybridge, which is finished in a granite grey paint, that gives the yacht a sense of forward motion and a purposeful yet elegant aesthetic. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/200997/image/large-5ed4714cd188f1742e2632317d4f9efb.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/200997">Those curved forms are interjected by angular windows that span from near the bow to amidships on the lower deck, and which also wrap around the aft deck of the saloon, flooding the interiors with light. A 270° continuous LED-light line, running from stern to bow without interruptions, wraps the entire body of the yacht, becoming the signature of the exterior design.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/200999/image/large-30877e9d95d357ae9b667ba2d716c4ec.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/200999">Internally, the new model has a 250 GT, an 8 metre beam and can accommodate as many as 12 guests, an impressive number for a yacht of her length. The main deck is home to the main living space, with separate lounge and dining area, completed in sumptuous materials, each with a slight satin tone, lending the space a rich feeling. An onyx sliding wall panel hides a huge flatscreen TV which faces the large L-shaped and a super elegant armchair, lined in Chinese silk; luxury rounded coffee tables complete the lounge area.The interior design is the perfect accompaniment to the exterior. Strong geometric lines are balanced by curves, such as the eye-catching oculus above the round dining table, echoed by a circular mould in the wall adjacent. The entire mood is of a romantic classicism, combined with a warm and modern minimalism that makes the EVO 120 a completely unique and fresh superyacht.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/201000/image/large-40bfc1d55975b987d1d4ceca294a8a98.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/201000">The sundeck, which is unobtrusive in the yacht's profile but which opens up as you enter it, features a partly glazed infinity pool, a bar with an outdoor kitchen and the wheelhouse. The stern accommodates the toy garage and additional storage space for a tender of 4.5 metres. &nbsp;Aside from her impressive and unique design, the EVO 120 has the performance to match, with a top speed of 20 knots and a range of 1,800 nautical miles at a 10 knot cruising speed.&nbsp;
