Tender of the Month: Xtenders 9.9m multipurpose superyacht tender

With the first unit delivered in 2017 to her iconic Lürssen-built mothership Aurora, the Dutch tender experts at Xtenders are proud to present their D-RIB multipurpose tender. Measuring 9.9-metres with a beam of 3.2-metres, this guest tender is one of the most versatile and comfortable RIB tenders in the impressive Xtenders fleet.

Her lightweight carbon hull together with the rigid bulwarks provide an impressively stable and seaworthy platform for transfers in various weather conditions for up to twelve guests and two crew. Further enhancing guest comfort on board is two spacious sitting areas - one in the bow and one behind the helm - as well as an additional sun awning, two fridges and multiple storage compartments. Clients are also offered a number of additional custom features to choose from. 

The tender's hull design - developed in-house by the Xtenders team - combines a deep-V with multiple scallops that are ideally suited for light boats and provides easy and fast planning and uncompromised grip on the water. Equipped with a 370hp Yanmar engine she has a cruising speed of 25 knots and can easily reach speeds up to an impressive 45 knots without losing the smoothness of the ride. 

Other notable features on board include the bow, which can be automatically transformed into an open gangway to provide easy access to the shore or facilitate bow-to mooring. The angle of the beachlander can be adjusted to particular beaching circumstances. In order to minimise the storage height to 1.7 metres, the console folds down and a single-post t-top bimini can be electrically brought down using a mechanism developed by Xtenders. Designed with usability in mind, the whole operation takes less than a minute to complete. 

Though making yacht-to-shore guest transfers a fantastic experience, this tender is also perfect for making the most of small day trips to hidden coves and snorkelling spots. All auxiliaries such as boarding poles, swim ladder and sun-awning poles by daughter company, Xquip, are made from clear-coated carbon to ensure strength and low weight.
