Celebrating their 13th edition in 2015, Sea Technology & Design (Seatec) is an international trade fair held in Italy for professionals involved in components, mechanics and engines, engines and propulsion systems, electronics and domotics, raw materials and finished products, design and engineering for ships, boats and yachts.
The event will host workshops, conferences and seminars together with events in Abitare il mare, a container of events and conferences related to design issues. Other activities include the new ‘Med Village’, an area dedicated to the system of yacht production in the Mediterranean basin and reserved for private enterprises from the area.
Organisers this year are hoping to continue the success of 2013s edition of the show, where they saw an increase in 10% of the number of visitors to the event as well as an increase of 4% in the number of brands participating.
Seatec takes place alongside the 7th edition of Compotec, the international exhibition for composites and related technologies, which is the only trade event in Italy dedicated to this sector. The market has grown significantly in recent years in various areas of application, thanks to the development of new technologies and the excellent mechanical properties of composites in relation to weight, durability and versatility. Seatec is also hosting the fifth edition of Yacht Refit After Sales & Experience (Yare) - the event dedicated to refitting, an increasingly strategic sector for the entire Italian marine industry.
The 13th Seatec will be held from 4th to 6th February 2015 at Marina de Carrara in Italy, half way between Livorno and Genoa, where the proximity to surrounding production areas serves as an ideal advantage.
