The 49m superyachtPlan B in St Maarten
Pictured here in St Maarten is the 49 metre superyacht Plan B. Originally built in 1973, she commissioned by the Royal Australian Navy as HMAS Flinders as a larger addition to their hydrographic survey fleet. The 49 metre vessel served mainly in Australian waters surveying harbours, anchorages and new waterways. She also undertook several missions deeper into the Pacific and around New Guinean waters until she was decommissioned in 1998. Passing into civilian ownership, she underwent several transformations over the years, none more so than in 2005 to 2007, when her current owner took her to Atlantic Drydock in the US and she began to take shape as the vessel we know her as today.
