Photo: Merijn de Waard / SuperYacht TimesSeen here arriving in Fort Lauderdale where the world’s largest open-air boat show is kicking off today, is the American-built 54.9-metre motor yacht Sovereign. Sovereign was launched as Harbour Island in 2011 at Newcastle Marine in Palm Coast, Florida and built to a design by Murray & Associates. After changing hands one year after delivery, in 2012 the yacht was renamed after changing ownership and received a new coat of grey hull paint and several other modifications on board.
