Following completion of the sale, Jukka Kaukonen commented: "She is a truly iconic Dutch explorer yacht that's belonged to the same owner for the last 22 years. She's even been maintained and operated by the same Captain during this time. Her outstanding condition is testament to the skill and professionalism of her Captain and crew who have been a pleasure to work with."

The sale was a collaboration with Jean Marie Recamier from Camper & Nicholson who represented the seller and who sold the yacht to the previous owner 22 years ago. The most recent listed asking price for Lady Mona K was $14,500,000.
