The Captain's Lounge at the Singapore Yacht Show

Organisers of The Singapore Yacht Show have announced that at this years show will feature a dedicated space for senior crew and industry professionals. The Captain's Lounge is powered by MTU, and will also include a programme of presentations as well as social evening gatherings in a relaxed but professional environment.

“The Captain’s Lounge – Powered by MTU is an exclusive platform for industry professionals and customers to connect. With a special programme and individual meeting spaces, the lounge offers an informal environment to catch up and discuss the world's finest superyacht and international yacht brands from the day’s events,” comments Alex Tesch, Director Sales Marine at MTU Asia.

MTU will also host a complimentary lunch served every day, as well as drinks and refreshments throughout the day and evening happy hour gatherings. Also offering complimentary wifi, the lounge will be open from 11am to 9pm Thursday through Saturday and 11am through 7pm on the Sunday of the Show.

The Captain’s Lounge will also be the venue for the inaugural International Superyacht Society (ISS) Member Mixer at the Singapore Yacht Show, taking place 19.30 - 22.00 on Friday 24th April. “Founded to promote cohesion ‘across the pond’, ISS now includes members across the oceans,” says Derik Wagner, ISS President. “We look forward to establishing a perennial member event at SYS, a critical venue for global brands and Pacific Rim members.”

Furthermore, the Young Professionals in Yachting (YPY) will be holding its inaugural networking event in this area. YPY will invite professionals up to the age of 40 to attend a morning of networking and lunch, as well as a brief presentation on the philosophy behind the association by President of the YPY.
