As such, they have considerable influence on steering their clients towards responsible decisions. Initiated by the designers themselves after four successful roundtables held since January this year, a group of leading, motivated and committed naval architects, interior and exterior designers are going to embark on the sustainability journey collectively. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/99165/image/large-9a3cb6e0a52e3a692c30fcd7a6fe7dcf.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/99165">The ethos of the Sustainable Yacht Design Taskforce of the is sharing knowledge and experience to accelerate towards sustainable yacht design and to make smarter client propositions. The designers who have joined the task force understand their key role in driving sustainability in yacht design and the impact of their proposals for the rest of the lifetime of the yachts.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/99093/image/large-457a9871186cc108c4d361909ab42d22.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/99093">The names of the designers will be unveiled during the Design &amp; Innovation Hub held by Robert van Tol, Executive Director of the foundation. Van Tol commented, “It is the first time naval architects, interior and exterior yacht designers are going to structurally collaborate on the international level, which is an important step in itself. This task force will be solely focused on sustainability, and will be organised through the Water Revolution Foundation. We’ve set up task force values to ensure active and equal participation, with concrete output.
