From above, the beach club is illuminated by a glass-bottomed swimming pool with sunlight streaming through it for a maritime-themed atmosphere. Moving to the main deck, an 18-square-metre, one-metre deep swimming pool is accompanied by a bar and lounge area for guests to relax and socialise.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/353200/image/large-76642613cf99e955661bc8518f22ce6c.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/353200">According to designer <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/82" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Espen Øino International (Company)">Espen Øino</a>, “The primary concept behind Project Life was to put forward life itself and life close to the water. She’s a boat that has been designed for life – an active life, a cool life, a relaxed life.” <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/353201/image/large-1673c20b406e84abb70b5fd323227c12.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/353201">Inside, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/67" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Zuretti Interior Design (Company)">Zuretti</a> places special emphasis on materials and ceiling heights for a sense of continuity between the indoors and outdoors. Spanning 112-square-metres, the main saloon is decked out in floor-to-ceiling windows for a connection to the outdoors and a lighting system intended to facilitate leisurely ambiances. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/353198/image/large-4bd2bb9fe43353fe82468d0072a04af8.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/353198">Located in the forward section of the main deck are six guest staterooms featuring expansive windows for natural lighting combined with scenic vantage points. Project Life’s 98-square-metre owner’s suite has a versatile room situated next to it, which can serve as a private office or a space dedicated to the owner’s hobbies, for example. In addition, her system is developed to operate on both diesel and non-fossil fuels including HVO. A closer look at the 85m Benetti superyacht Project Life

Salvatore Canzoneri has shared the renderings and details of Kossyra, a 67-metre island-inspired superyacht concept. The up-and-coming yacht designer made it to the finals of the Young Designer of the Year 2024 awards, in partnership with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/29" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Feadship (Company)">Feadship</a>, with his design. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/353182/image/large-cb1914a21320cc52b4ab8cc0a2f7712e.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/353182">Described by her designer as “a floating sanctuary that captures the essence of the Mediterranean,” Kossyra is christened after the Pantelleria, an island in Italy formerly known as Cossyra. Once again, the designer <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6563" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Alexander McDiarmid Design (Company)">Alexander McDiarmid</a> has collaborated with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2049" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ghost Yachts (Company)">Ghost Yachts</a> to produce their latest concept, the 105-metre GWP-345 superyacht. According to the designer, the GWP-345’s design takes inspiration from the “engineering prowess" showcased in the 67-metre iconic Blue Riband record holder, Destriero.&nbsp;The vessel Destriero made a name for herself in 1992 when she crossed New York to the British Isles of Scilly in a time of 58 hours, 34 minutes and 50 seconds, breaking the world record.&nbsp;A previous collaboration between <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2049" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ghost Yachts (Company)">Ghost Yachts</a> and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6563" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Alexander McDiarmid Design (Company)">McDiarmid</a>, a British, France-based designer, was the 80-metre G250 yacht presented last year. Similarly to her predecessor, the GWP-345 concept exhibits a V-shaped, wave-cutting hull paired with a reverse bow, except on a larger platform. By building on the Ghost G250 platform, we've explored options for a more efficient high-speed propulsion solution while enhancing circularity and sustainability,” <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6563" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Alexander McDiarmid Design (Company)">McDiarmid</a> explained.&nbsp;From the outside, the yacht’s exterior silhouette emulates the military-style appearance present in the modern naval frigate and wardship designs, particularly as the sturdy superstructure has been simplified into angled surfaces.With a beam of 16.7-metres, the superyacht has the capacity to host as many as 12 guests across five VIP double staterooms, while the full-beam owner’s suite is complete with balconies both to port and starboard for immersion with the outdoor environment.&nbsp;One of the GWP-345’s interior highlights is her saloon with port and starboard, full-height glazing, along with an aft running the full length into the midships dining area. In a unique feature, the technical ‘art’ construction is visible to guests from the aft saloon area, as some of the superstructure and ventilation shafts are positioned within part of this glazing.&nbsp;When it comes to alfresco entertainment, relaxation can be had in the sunken and hidden foredeck cockpit. In addition, the sundeck can be accessed via three stairways, while a motorised semi-rigid sun canopy offers shade from the sun.Furthermore, the foredeck tender garage has the possibility to house two 10-metre tenders via a knuckle beam, while there is also a heliport for an Airbus Helicopter AH145, AH160 helicopters or an equivalent OEM size. The former yacht owner and Formula 1 team boss Eddie Jordan has died at age 76. A statement made by Jordan’s family on Thursday morning revealed that he had passed away in his Cape Town home following a cancer diagnosis in December 2024. The Irishman was the owner of several yachts, including the 45.6-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/51" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Perini Navi (Company)">Perini Navi</a> sailing yacht Blush (now named <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/43" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Mare Nostrum45.26m (148'6&quot;)Perini Navi2007">Mare Nostrum</a>) during his lifetime.&nbsp;As a former driver himself, the businessman won the Irish kart championship in 1971 but suffered an accident in Formula 3 in 1976, before transitioning to team ownership in the year 1979. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/353276/image/large-df8254dd787bb5de9005e52062fe4b28.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/353276">While his Eddie Jordan Racing team started with 12 people in 1987, it eventually amounted to 50 members once Jordan took part in F1 in 1991. Inside the main saloon is an antique bronze mirrored ceiling referencing 17th century Dutch architecture, while several shades of blue and a Delftware-inspired mural on the dining room wall are also a nod to the Netherlands.
