The first SWATH superyacht tender unveiled

Introduced at the Electric & hybrid Marine World Expo 2014, the SWATH Electra Glide Limousine Tender is the world’s first carbon neutral solar hybrid megayacht tender that combines the environmental benefits of solar electric sustainability with the no sea sickness comfort of an anti-roll SWATH vessel.

Powered by twin 300hp Regen Electric outboards, the tender reaches a maximum speed of 45 knots whilst remaining green, ergonomic and virtually silent. Unlike power from internal combustion engines, this tender is extremely efficient throughout its entire speed range. At 8 knots the 50kwh Li Po Batteries give a zero carbon range of up to 40 nm.

In typical ship-to-shore commuting, the tender’s Solbian solar array generates all the energy needed, and if more power is required, a choice of diesel Gensets up to 85kws extends the tenders range and boosts the hotel services while recharging the batteries in under an hour. Other innovative features include the unparalleled luxury of its 2 metre standing height and the convenience of a fully equipped galley and bar, allowing the boat to be utilised to it’s full potential with fantastic day trip expeditions to remote areas.

Built by Ned Ship in carbon epoxy, the 12 passenger limo tender comes with air conditioning and a surround sound entertainment system with two flat screen TVs which can display exterior security cameras and navigational data.
