The Honours 2023: Nominations now open for superyacht industry awards

Nominations are now open for The Honours 2023 award ceremony. The inaugural event, organised by the Superyacht Life Foundation and the Monaco Yacht Show, recognises the inspirational people of the superyacht industry and invites crew, owners and all other interested parties to put forward their nominations.MonacoPhoto: Tom van OossanenThe Honours celebrates those who are connected to the superyacht industry and nominations should reflect inspirational people doing exceptional things within the industry. The Honours are looking for individuals who have developed communities, driven conservation, inspired exploration and cultural understanding, preserved the environment and instigated positive change across the industry.

Do you know an owner or charterer who has gone out of their way to promote a particular ocean conservation cause, or perhaps one of your fellow crew who has been instrumental in overseeing a community outreach or environmental initiative that has made a real difference?

Maybe you could nominate a scientist who has used a yacht as a platform for breakthrough research, or perhaps it is an owner or crew giving their yacht or their time for citizen science projects who you think deserve recognition? The Honours 2023Perhaps you know of an owner or a designer who has been instrumental in developing new technologies or has pushed the boundaries of design? Or maybe you know of someone who has changed perceptions within the industry on diversity or inclusion, or who has helped shape positive perceptions of superyachting to a wider audience? Above all, nominations should reflect remarkable people with remarkable stories to tell in and around the superyacht industry.

“We believe The Honours will be a new milestone in superyachting’s history as this will be the very first award ceremony that distinguishes people behind the scenes of yachting,” shared Gaëlle Tallarida, the Managing Director of Monaco Yacht Show.

“This is the perfect opportunity for the superyacht industry to recognise the very best of itself and to tell the positive stories of the nominees and Honourees to the wider world,” added Dilan Saraç, Executive Director of the Superyacht Life Foundation. The Honours 2023 Bowsprit AwardThe honourees will be celebrated during The Honours evening that will be hosted on 26 September 2023 in Monaco, on the eve of the Monaco Yacht Show 2023.
