Dutch design company Guido de Groot Design has worked on a number of refit projects over the past few years. One of the company’s most recent refit projects include a project carried out at the Moonen shipyard facilities, as well as a refit of the 32 metre Mengi Yay superyacht Y.
Recently renamed Y, the 32 metre vessel’s refit was carried out in Tuzla, Turkey. The project was developed together with Yacht Marine – Management and Brokerage, who undertook the project management in Turkey.
The refit consisted of converting the dark wooden interior in to one with a fresh, modern and light interior. The timescales were reportedly tight on this project, with the whole process taking just five months as to ensure she was ready for the summer season.
