The Italian Sea Group makes offer for Perini Navi

The Italian Sea Group has placed an irrevocable offer for the Perini Navi acquisition. The offer of €47,000,000 will now be reviewed by the court, but is below the reduced asking price of €53.5 million, which had already been rejected by a number of bidders, including the Ferretti Group and Sanlorenzo.

The proposal from TISG includes to the industrial and real estate assets of the shipyards in La Spezia (above) and Viareggio, the complex in Pisa, the 47-metre sailing yacht project C.2369 (rendering below), trademarks and patents, the social participation of Perini Navi USA and the existing relationships with employees and third parties.

The move solidifies TISG's intention to increase its potential of new construction, as well as expand its presence in the sailing industry, where Perini Navi previously dominated. The news comes after the Group initially announced the Perini Navi assets to be overvalued in July.
