The latest superyacht gossip - 7

Business

Abeking & Rasmussen launched their latest yacht, hull 6475. The yacht will be named Aviva III and is owned by the British owner who currently owns Aviva II (formerly Alfa IV) and previously owned Attessa before she was rebuild. The exterior lines of Aviva III are designed by Reymond Langton Design. We hope to show some photos of the yacht soon.

It are busy times for Abeking & Rasmussen as they have two 78m yachts under construction, both with design by Reymond Langton, a 40m Swath yacht and it’s also rumoured they have signed contracts for yachts in the range of 55/65m.

De Vries Makkum completed the 67m Anna (photo) yesterday. After her launch she was towed from the shipyard to the locks of Ijmuiden. Today the yacht started her sea trials from Den Helder and anytime soon she is expected in the Coenhaven of Amsterdam for some latest work before delivery.

The 140m Al Salamah left the Lürssen shipyard yesterday and over the River Weser she cruised to Bremerhaven where she was dry-docked at the MWB Shipyard.

The 60m Titan was supposed to be at the first Antibes Yacht Show, but after her recent sale she was withdrawn from the list by Edmiston. It’s likely that Titan will undergo a refit soon.

The summer season in the Mediterranean seems to take off. The recently delivered 64m Amels My Shanti arrived in the International Yacht Club of Antibes and she was shortly followed by Feadship Van Lent’s Secret (photo). With the upcoming Cannes Film Festival and the GP of Monaco even more yachts will find their way to the Mediterranean. As of today we can also happily report that the SuperyachtTimes.com crew will be in the South of France between the Film Festival and the GP to shoot all the yachts along the coast. So expect some fresh photos by the end May.

In the meantime keep sending your own photos and rumours to info@superyachttimes.com
