In 2001 Rodriquez Yachts announced a contract for a 72.2m yacht. The yacht, Rodriquez hull 312, was scheduled for a delivery in August 2003, but nothing has appeared on this yacht yet. The yacht already has an IMO number, 1007873, and is flagged in Malta. According to Equasis she was completed in 2006, if you have more information on her please contact us.

With only a few weeks to go before the start of the Cannes Film Festival and Monaco Grand Prix the first big yachts already arrived. Yesterday saw the arrival of the world’s biggest sailing yacht, the Lürssen EOS and last month the new Amels My Shanti and the new Feadship Secret already arrived at the Cote d’Azur.

Alloy’s latest yacht VvS1 was recently christened by the owner’s wife. VvS1 is owned by a New Zealand based jeweller/golf course owner and the yacht is named after a high-grade diamond. To owner plans to make the yacht available for charter.

The 53m (175ft) converted tug Itasca was recently sold by Nauta Yachts in cooperation with Edmiston. Her new English owner plans to visit both the Arctic and Antarctic with Itasca.

New on the sales market is the 57m (188ft) Abeking & Rasmussen Excellence III. The yacht came up for sale as the owner is awaiting delivery of his new 78m Abeking & Rasmussen. She is available from September 1 through Moran Yachts.
