Celebrity Yachting from China asked Canada based designer Ivan Erdivicki to design a 128ft superyacht. The result is the Celebrity 128; a tri-deck motor yacht whose elegantly curved lines give the impression of a much larger yacht. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/126314/image/large-09b2bc3c053bbb92ec16e7d3ba991ce5.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/126314">The boat features a comfortable interior, with four large guest staterooms on the lower deck, as well as a proper crew area for eight people. The captain’s stateroom is on the upper deck, while a large VIP stateroom is located on the main deck. The superyacht offers plenty of outside living space throughout each deck level. Ivan Erdivicki reports that the final design is underway and the boat shall be constructed in a FRP sandwich structure. Two additional deck versions will be available, including an “open deck” concept based on the same hull.

The concept was created by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Nobiskrug (Company)">Nobiskrug</a> in collaboration with Swiss design studio <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2169" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Messerschmitt Yachts GmbH (Company)">Messerschmitt Yachts</a>. Tommaso Spadolini (Company)">Tommaso Spadolini</a> has unveiled the first renderings for a new 48.5-metre superyacht concept. The motor yacht was designed with a specific owner in mind who was looking for a more spacious design from his current 35-metre yacht.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/260720/image/large-2e9f6b915b88c880e8684f344ab2c08d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/260720">The strictly displacement hull measures 48.5-metres in overall length, which becomes 46-metres at the waterline. A new industry initiative has been launched by the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) that focuses on the impact the yachting industry has on the world’s forests. The initiative encourages clear sustainability goals and open dialogues for more responsible solutions. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/263032/image/large-9840fc3a207fde264c781f549845604d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/263032">“Yachts are an extreme luxury product, but the industry is also an important sector in the innovation of new and greener solutions for the shipbuilding industry in general,” Kristian Jørgensen, technical advisor at FSC Denmark, stated. “We often see innovation in the areas of engine technology, energy efficiency, synthetic fibres, and the direct impact of different materials on the marine environment. But the time has come to pay more attention to the timber that is used.”Timber is a staple resource for the industry, whether that’s teak decking, masts and booms, or interior outfitting – you’ll be hard-pressed to find a yacht that doesn’t make use of the material in some form. Everyone can do something immediately by using the existing products on offer. The project involved extending the main aft deck and adding a new Jacuzzi to the sundeck. Onboard, the 1,166 GT superyacht can accommodate as many as 12 guests across six staterooms.
