The new “ticino” from v-type

The new “ticino” from v-type has been designed and built specifically to accommodate the needs of the super yacht tender garage, measuring six meters overall the low profile design of this tender at 1200mm is perfect for the garage requirement. Unlike others a different approach has been adopted, a full deck moulding has been implanted on to a deep V hull form to give a safe and dry ride; seating is set well down into the craft.

The “ticino” comes as standard with a Volkswagen marine diesel 165hp driven through an electric shift change gearbox and onto to a jet drive unit, options are available for the stern drive application. Seating places for nine persons give ample room for guests and baggage, access to the engine has been carefully thought through giving full access to all components, the walk through transom gives simple and easy access ashore or to the water for water sports.

Ski pole and wake boarding post are standard, teak decking throughout the forward locker has been given space to the “sea stairs” option one of v-types ingenious ideas, carbon fibre in construction the wishbone stairs and stored into the fwd locker, when deployed the stairs fold over the bow allowing passengers to exit the craft from the bow.

After the success of the Classic Tourer” in January the “ticino” tender is the second in a series of new models to be launched this year. She is certainly an eye catcher and there is a classic quality about her appearance. She is a welcome change from the normal approach to RIB design and like all thoroughbreds she is in an exclusive class of her own.
