Italian yard Ocean King has unveiled its latest superyacht model: The Ocean King Classic 108 yacht. This sleek 340 GT explorer yacht, which will be built to RINA class, has an overall length of 34 metres, a heavy displacement double-bottomed Grade A steel hull and a lightweight aluminium superstructure. With a generous beam of 8.3 metres, the Ocean King Classic 108 has a layout spread out across four decks. VYD Studio of Trieste is responsible for the exterior and interior design of the vessel - developed in conjunction with the yard - which also has naval architecture from the drawing boards of InNave. On board the Classic 108 yacht, the standard layout comprises five staterooms, including a full-beam main deck master stateroom and accommodation for up to six crew members which is located on the lower deck, as well as an upper deck captain's cabin. The interior styling can be characterised as luminous and fresh and is focused on bringing the outside in.
This new superyacht model benefits from enormous outer deck space with multiple separate sunbathing and seating areas. The tender can be tucked away in a garage which is convertible to a beach club so as not to encroach on deck usage.
Paolo Dose from VYD Studio commented, “The 108 offers an aggressive and muscular look without compromising the essential elements of futuristic design. With a wide-beam, large volume luxury interior, the 108 is the product of contemporary and classic design approach, resulting in a timeless profile. She preserves her sleek look from any perspective and presents a long-range, superbly equipped, strong and sturdy truly capable explorer yacht”
Alberto Ballarin of Ocean King says, “Oceangoing credentials, contemporary timeless styling and a superyacht exterior finish & interior were the design parameters with the Ocean King New Classic 108. We are thrilled to be able to offer our customers a class and price-beating model that we are confident will stun the explorer yacht world”.
In terms of her performance, the Ocean King 108 has been designed with long-range travels in mind, achieving a maximum speed of 14 knots, a cruising speed of 10.5 knots and a range at cruising speed of 4,050 nautical miles.
In other news from the yard, Ocean King has recently started construction on a 118 model from its Ducale series for delivery in summer 2020, which will make its debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival this year.
