The redesign of superyacht Eileen

Italian designers FM- Architettura di Interni, have just finished the interior refit of the 49.90 metre superyacht Eileen, built by Codecasa in 2000. The refit was carried out by the Lusben shipyard.

Francesca Muzio and Maria Silvia Orlandini, co-founders of FM- Architettura di Interni, worked on a new layout, as well as a new décor for the yacht. On the main deck, the designers re-designed the galley, to accommodate more, and better hotel equipment, making it possible to serve gourmet style food, in shorter time. An ice maker and a ice storage on the bridge deck, transformed the pantry into a “cold kitchen” specialized in Sushi and Sashimi.

The sun deck was completely transformed. A huge hardtop has been added, and a wider al fresco dining area with open buffets, cocktail bar, 12 people lunch table, snack tables and a large relaxing sofa, perfect for after dinner siestas were added.

Looking at the new interior, Francesca Muzio comments: “Meeting the Owner and his family was very important to understand the new DNA of Eileen. It was not a matter of what style the yacht, whose name was still Dakota, had to be given. The question was about tuning in the DNA of the people who would live it, enjoy it, relaxed on it and where they would spend precious time with their families”.

“Whoever visits Eileen, feels the homey atmosphere, each single piece of the yacht shines in a special way, because inside every part there is something special”, Maria Silvia Orlandini adds.

Some of the new materials used in the interior are Loro Piana, Hermes and Dedar for fabrics, Promemoria for custom-made items, Summit and Royal Botanian for external marine furniture.
