The Superyacht Life Foundation unveiled its latest endeavour at the Yacht Club de Monaco, The Honours. The special breakfast, held on the 27th of September not only afforded the chance to showcase The Honours – which aims to celebrate the people of the superyacht industry rather than the yachts – but also to officially open the call for nominations.“Behind the glitz, the glamour, and the attention-grabbing headlines, superyachting has a deep and generous soul that is reflected both in the philanthropic endeavours of its owners and in the ideals of its professionals,” says Dilan Sarac, the Marketing Manager of The Superyacht Life Foundation. “The Honours, organised by the Superyacht Life Foundation and the Monaco Yacht Show, is a chance for us to recognise and celebrate the endeavours of the extraordinary people this exceptional sector encapsulates.”
“We are proud to be involved in the organisation of The Honours for 2023. The Monaco Yacht Show will be committed to be a proactive protagonist to support the event. We believe The Honours will be a new milestone in superyachting’s history as this will be the very first award ceremony that distinguishes people behind the scene of yachting” shares Gaëlle Tallarida, the Managing Director of Monaco Yacht Show. The Honours – sponsored by Feadship, BWA Yachting, RINA, and Preciosa – is a new event to the yachting calendar which seeks to highlight and recognise the extraordinary people doing the extraordinary things that make the superyachting good life so good. As well as honouring these inspiring individuals, The Honours also parallels The Superyacht Foundation’s goals of presenting the positive stories and actions of the people and the industry to a wider audience in order to reinforce more positive perceptions of superyachting – something that the Monaco Yacht Show, as the centrepiece of the annual superyachting calendar, can help amplify alongside its own drive to promote industry initiatives.
