The SWATH superyacht Silver Cloud in Antigua

The 41m SWATH yacht Silver Cloud was launched in 2008 by the Abeking & Rasmussen shipyard in Lemwerder. SWATH stands for “Small Waterplane Area Twin Hull”. The concept is based on two submarine hulls, completely submerged below the water surface. These hulls are connected to the yacht by two narrow struts. This creates a very stable platform, and ensures smooth sailing in all weather conditions. Silver Cloud was built for an experienced owner, who previously owned a Burger and a Feadship, and is designed inhouse by Abeking & Rasmussen, while the interior was designed by London based Kirschstein Design Ltd and Susan Schuyler Smith of Spectrum Design.
