Espiritu Del Xarey in Antigua
The 42,9 metre superyacht Espiritu Del Xarey was launched as Whirlaway by Vitters in Holland in 2002. The yacht’s design brief was to enhance performance under sail without compromising the high standard of comfort and luxury on board. The righting moment was enhanced by fitting a deeper keel and a spade rudder. To further improve upwind performance, the keel contains a 1.6 m (5 ft) hydraulically operated dagger board. The racing capacities are maximised by the use of this dagger board and the streamlined hull shape designed by Dubois Naval Architects. Meanwhile, the increased righting moment allowed for a taller rig with 10% more sail area.
She features a classic Redman Whiteley Dixon interior.
