The XII edition of the Southern Wind Trophy will be held in Porto Cervo from the 3rd until the 7th June during the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta.
After eight successful editions held in the waters of Capri Island, the SWS Trophy moved to Porto Cervo in 2008. The event offers five days of breathtakingly coastal races and five nights of exclusive social programs in La Maddalena Archipelago. June 5th will see Southern Wind owners and their crews meeting at Poltu Quatu for the exclusive SWS dinner party.
"We are happy with this formula," says Willy Persico, CEO of Southern Wind. "It gives our owners a chance to fraternise and is a showcase for our performance cruiser yachts in a context where they shine even in the eyes of owners of yachts from other shipyards”.
With 8 yachts registered, Southern Wind will represent almost one third of the participants to the race. Boats competing in the race include SW 100 RS Cape Arrow, W 94 Windfall and SW 100 DS Farewell as well as the two brand new SW 82s, Feelin Good and Grande Orazio, and veteran, SW 78 Whisper.
Special audience, SW 102 Hevea and SW 80 Matelot, will follow the regatta, offering Southern Wind guests the unique opportunity to enjoy this superyacht race from the water.
