Sea Level yacht design and engineering in association with Heesen Yachts and Super Yacht Times are hosting a unique design contest where students have the opportunity to design a profile view of a 50-metre superyacht, including a detailed sundeck. The winner of The Yacht Design Talent Award 2015 will be announced at the prestigious Monaco Yacht Show in September this year.
Students are invited to create a unique and functional design of the most upper deck on a 50-metre superyacht, and to design a space that guests will find relaxing and enjoyable whether sunbathing during the day or entertaining at night.
Students are directed to the beautiful designs of Heesen Yachts such as Satori and Monaco Wolf, in order to better get to grips with what is possible design-wise in an exterior space such as this. Further motivation for creating the ultimate sundeck comes with Heesen’s commitment of adding the winning designs to their concept portfolio and thereby creating an ideal platform for aspiring superyacht designers.
As the contest strictly allow the participation of students, non-students can take part in the action by signing up online and earn the right to vote for their favourite design between August 17-31.
Entries close on 15 August 2015 and the winner will be announced at the Monaco Yacht Show this year between September 23-26. Contest details and information can be found here.
