The Greece based superyacht painting company Thraki Yacht Painting has announced the opening of a new office in Istanbul, Turkey under the name Thraki Yat Sanayi Ltd St. Thraki aim to build a permanent team in Turkey, which will combine the expertise and experience of the Northern European projects with the skillful labour in Turkey.
“We believe our expertise and quality in finishing, will give the Turkish yards the opportunity to reach the highest standards and consistency in quality'', says Ritvan Metso of Thraki Yacht Painting.
Ritvan continues, “Thraki has seen the strength and potential of the Turkish Superyacht Market. The quality of the yards is getting better and apart from the new-builds, the Turkish yacht industry is attracting more and more refit projects as well, due to the lower labour costs and geographical advantages”.
The first project Thraki has contracted is Soraya's 46m new-build in Antalya, of which the fairing and painting is progressing very well. The Soraya 46 is a displacement motoryacht with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure.
