Photo: Charl van Rooy / SuperYacht TimesSeen here side by side in the yachting hub of Antibes earlier this summer season are the two Tim Heywood-designed superyachts Aurora Borealis (left) and Baton Rogue. Both drawn by the design icon and built in the Netherlands, the 67.1-metre Aurora Borealis was completed this summer as the first Amels 220 superyacht by the famed Dutch shipyard. The fully-custom and sophisticated interiors of Aurora Borealis are the work of the London-based industry veterans Winch Design, inspired by wind, water, fire and earth. To the right lies the 62.5-metre Baton Rouge, launched at Icon Yachts in 2010. The full-displacement yacht features an interior by RWD and is the second of three steel yachts built by the shipyard together with Icon (2009) and Party Girl (2012).
